I'm even hesitant to type this based on the buffoonish boo boos that I've been making elsewhere!

While I am known for typos, it has gotten particularly bad in the last few weeks. I just noticed many in a thread that I started. I typed "worl". No clue on that one. "Word" or "work" could not have been what I intended to type. Worse still, I had no clue where I was going with it and I typed the reply a few days ago. Also a lot of missing words. Sometimes I lose my train of thought when typing.

Could this be the start of senility? I'm afraid to try writing another story because of all the botch ups. Someone please tell me this is temporary! I'm not sick or on any new meds.

I doubt it's dementia. But even if it is, what better way is there to use one's declining mental powers than to write porn stories? Keep writing, regardless, I say.

here here !
You might consider writing a little slower and so on, I guess.
Good Luck

Based on what I’ve seen in your posts, I doubt it’s dementia.

Yes, we slow down mentally as we age. Memory is not as sharp as it used to be. OTOH, we develop strategies to help us remember, so to some degree it balances.

But, frankly, strangers on a porn site aren’t the ones whose advice you should depend on. If you are worried about this, talk to your doctor. (Yeah, I know, doctors in your area are kind of busy, but the tests don’t take long.)

Hugs.

Perhaps you're merely suffering the effects of over-indulgence in the fruit of the wort. Your mind worn from the strains of writing under the influence, you, perhaps, envisaged a whorl of matter being swept into the abyss of a collapsed star, a world cascading into a worm-hole only to emerge transmogrified at another end of space-time.

Probably not senility. When you're worn out from too much sex, your brain isn't at its sharpest. :)

Jada: don't give it a second thought. Let me up the ante here.

I have a story just under 12k words. Toward the end is a comment balloon that says...crying scene here. I did it about three weeks ago.

I have no memory of a crying scene. I have no idea what it was supposed to be. Where it is in the story has me scratching my head because it doesn't seem appropriate that there would be crying there. I'm baffled.

If a few words mistyped is a sign of senility I'm at the "put him in a home" stage. LOL, see you there. We can be roomies and write dirty stories for the residents.

A visit to the opticians, perhaps?

Or just clean your glasses - and the computer screen?

I have an excuse. I have double vision and I have to wear an eye patch to see singly.

Teh instead of the is now regularly getting in to all my writing, especially work stuff that’s written on a PC.

On the bright side, I’m aware of it and it forces me to critically read my work.

That could be it. My brain seems to always be on hyper. I can't type fast enough to keep up with my thoughts. But I have a hard time slowing down because then my mind wanders. Maybe need to do more meditation.

Ha! Love it!

Hahaha! I was getting too much and now thanks to this damned virus, we're not to be within six feet of each either. We'[re both Jonesing over here. Worse still they make it so we can't cross county lines. He lives 25 min. away but in another county.

Oh wow! You know... I have done automatic writing at times. I experimented with this when I was about 25. Did it on purpose. But sometimes it just comes to me, usually in the form of poetry. But there have been times when I run across a reply here or somewhere else that I recognize as something I would have written, but I don't remember writing it. Hmmm...

I don't wear glasses at the computer. I did just see my retinologist and the regular eye Dr. My distance prescription has changed slightly but being the vain person I am, I don't want new glasses. I also wear reading glasses but only need slight magnification for some things. My vision can change though due to various medical conditions. That could be a factor. Thanks!

I do that one a lot!
