Hello everyone. Well, thought i'd start a thread regarding the town of Boston. YAY, like we need one right?? Not to Omit any of our favorite New Englanders, but just to converse about things closer to town. Whether it be restaurants, bookstores, places to park..;) I also think New Englanders can enjoy this thread to possibly see the "hidden" boston and get some ideas on restaurants or scenic sites, not easily found, or promoted.

ENJOY!!!!!!!

Couple of MY fav picks..

Well, I will start with a few of my fav picks. Pleassse add any of yours, along with any discussion about the ones I pick, or others.

Just thinking of ethnic restaurants. There is an awesome Spanish restaurant right on mass ave I believe. Its a Tapas Bar, and has Very authentic spanish cuisine, with awesome atmosphere, have been a couple of times, and always trying something new. And the deserts are GREAT..Try the flan. This is right on main road, but near allston. So have a little ride, but there are many other great restaurants along the way...:) Another somewhat tex/mex restaurant I love is Cottonwoods, right in the old prudential tower. Not very authentic, however, awesome spins on old favs, little pricey, but definately worth it!, and parking lot underneath it to boot! I will add some more later on, but tell me some others I might have missed, or comment on these, if you wish...:)

More picks...

Okay, I'll keep adding some more, if you disagree, please say why, you might have encountered something I didnt.

Well, for you Non-Bostonions who might visit, get info on Duck-tours, its a great and fun way to catch a glimpse of boston. Also, if your into ice-skating, they turn the wading pond in the Common into an ice rink for the season, not sure what time it closes, but if you bring your skates during afternoon, hop on!

It took me 2 days to finally remember. When I visited Boston during Labor Day weekend, I had some clam chowder from the Boston Chowda Company (yes, that's how it's spelled). I can definitely say that it was the best I've had.

Just can't believe it took me this long to remember the name.

Reminding me...

There is an awesome restaurant for fish or fishy stuff, near the theatre district called McCormick and Schmidts' (sp?) not sure if its a chain, but one of the best in boston...:)

There's also a steak house right next to the aquarium where I had dinner a few years ago. Can't remember the name, though.

Man, I'm terrible!

new update

Well, its been a while so let me see if can get some ppl to update new places to go, see, and do...;)

Found a great new/updated place just south of boston, but they also have one downtown, near the theatre district. Its called Rock Bottom, and have great meals, beer, and some of the best desserts. Check it out!

Ciao,
