staying downtown

For G rated fun I suggest:

The Public Gardens (Arlington St.)
The Boston Public Library (original building) and Trinity Church in Copley Sq not far from the Gardens
Pop into the lobby of The new England Life building for some art about colonial times, it's worth a quick ten minutes
If you like baseball at all, Fenway is special
The Museum of Fine Arts is spectacular, and not far from it is
The Gardener Museum which is a lovely smaller art museum
