Boris Has It!

Seemingly, according to No10 press statement he had 4 litres of oxygen over night "which is less than the usual threshold for intensive care" That does little to boost him in my opinion - all in this togther? bollocks. More like he fucked up with his herd immunity thing, (BTW how is domininc cumings getting on?), and is now potentially paying the price for him and his Tory predecessors asset striping the NHS for years, whilst ripping the arse out of social care in society.

Well, that might have been a bad idea but excusable, it's not his domain & he probably took the advice of some epidemiologists.

But I just can't grasp why, if they decided to go down that route, they didn't prepare in advance to equip A&E and ICU staff. It's apalling, seeing such staff worldwide lacking the most basic protective gear.

I'm not even talking about ordering manufacturers to produce hazmat suits, which are the most appropriate for such staff. I'm referring to the fact that 1-2 months ago, Office Depots and ebay were still selling n95 masks in bulk, and no politician thought about moderating such waste.

It's like over the last 5 years, the World elected the dumbest politicians in History.

No the epidemiologists told his party that the NHS could not cope with a Pandemic several years ago. They carried out an exercise which showed how disastrous a Pandemic would be. The government decide that the report was far too dangerous to make public at the time. The NHS tried to remedy the situation by ordering a stockpile of Personal Protection Equipment but Jeremy Hunt's Health Department cancelled the orders and continued with their policy of closing intensive care beds to save money.

The Government which included Boris Johnson implemented a ten year pay freeze for health service workers which has led to a massive shortage of staff. The current situation is one that is entirely of the government's making but right up to the last minute they have preferred to listen to the advice of people like Dominic Cummings, who is not qualified to advise on anything, rather than the experts they pay for.

It is now a great irony that the life of the leader of the conservative party is in the hands of a health service that they have systematically tried to destroy.

Absolutley spot on.

but I'd add that during that pay freeze it became, as it did for those employed in community based local government social services also, in effect a pay cut in the region of 20% which caused many to have to leave jobs they were/ are very good at.

meanwhile MPs pay increased and sections of the NHS were privatised - opticacians being a case in point were specsavers are now almost classed as the optician section of the NHS - eye tests can indicate other under lying conditions. Physio threapy is increasingly farmed out, as for social care.........

Abs. shocking.
It reminds me of what the news were saying ?1-2 years ago?
That your politicians cut the Police budget in the midst of an epidemic of ISIS terrorist attacks. And that your Intelligence weren't able to track the movement of all terrorists on parole, cause not enough staff.

If only you hadn't run out of other people's money, what a grand system of healthcare you would have had!

Have you considered taxing the rich? It's all anyone on the ieft can talk about here. You see, they don't really need all the money (from each according to their ability, you see) and will surely stand still and let you take it while keeping their nose to the grindstone to give "other people" their money. Seems foolproof, no?

As in the US, the UK's rich pay most of the taxes.

But the Labour party still advocates higher taxes for 'the rich' despite evidence that if the tax rate goes too high, people will take more aggressive measures to avoid paying and the tax income REDUCES. Their definition of 'the rich' means most people even earning slightly above the average income many of whom might otherwise be Labour supporters.

other peoples money? not exactly accurate when most people, wrongly, assume that their nationl insurance contribuitions go directly to fund their pension and the NHs - in effect they get swolowed up in generl taxation - politicians of ALL the main UK parties are guilty of this, but only th eTories, initally proped up by the yellow tory liars, aka the lib dems, activly pursue it as a means of class warfare - robbing the poor to enhance the rich.

Would love to tax the rich comrade. But one starting point might be to look at the likes of amazon and starbucks - I wont mention HMRC search of choice - Google

Now if its foolproof you seek, check out jacob rees mogg - if ever somethong was foolproof its his investment fund/s

And anyone who isn't, then come the great day will be put against a wall and shot. no last ciggie due to tobcco being damaging to ones health! but their being shot you may ask. Yes. But what about the dangers of passive smoking to the firing squad? :D

Spent the morning dealing with managers who think people should work overtime, free of chrge "its for the common good" Really? you fucking do it then.

This is not turning into a good day.

We must all stay strong for Boris.

You obviously have no idea how our NHS funding works.
