Right. I was raised more or less Christian most of my life. When I started working, I did a lot of jobs that primarily involve physical labor, and don't really engage the mind a lot at all. So this left me with a lot of time to think about things. There were tracts that were left in the bathroom, and to pass the time I would find myself making arguments against what they said. Eventually I just convinced myself right out of any kind of Christian belief. Now, as I read the boards, I find myself making arguments against atheism. It's funny. I think I think to much to ever have any kind of religeous beliefs at all, even to be able to firmly announce agnosticism. I want to believe in Jesus, but I want to believe in Buhdda, angels, demons, magic, fairies, spirits, ghosts, and dragons too. A life without these things seems too sad for me.

not everyone feels that way

but i'm not saying any more because i'll probably incur the wrath of the lit gods

Well, Minx, people with faith live longer. Plants grow better when prayed over. The arguably most successful species on the planet is also the only one with capability for religeous worship. Something seems up to me.

I have always believed that "Religion" was my relationship with GOD.

Church was a location where one displayed a Religion.

The two need not carry the seme lable.

So maybe you could say that a church isn't really your faith so much as a social group for people of similar beliefs? Like Lit, except for believers instead of perverts.

I have a great deal of beliefs and theories about life and religion. I just fall back on the Norse gods since they are the most familar. Anyone interested in sharing theories and ideas feel free to PM me or email me at RajenMcDohl@aol.com

The problem is with science and logic is they are still fallible, and can be just as resistant to change. Science has been used to prove the innate inferiority of other races. Scientists right now can't seem to agree on weather global warming is real. Science is based on observation, but observation is skewed by the beliefs of the observer. If you want a certain result badly enough, you can prove it.

Does anybody know anything about Zoroaster? I am interested in learning more I have some knowledge of him and his teachings.
