Basically the name implies the purpose of my thread. As I consistently fail at maintaining relationships basically I figure if im gonna have interesting conversation with new and exciting people I will have to become more inventive. So I figured I would start this thread.
My interests include hunting, fishing, camping, and everything nerdy. I love horror movies and comic books typically im a marvel guy but Batman is my all time favorite. So if anyone has anything you want to talk in regards to any of those topics please feel free to hit me up.

This is a test.

If you fail you will have to write lines. No pressure.

What are your top 5 favourite horror movies?

Animator Number 5 "In the mouth of madness"
Number 4 "The serpent and the rainbow"
Number 3 "Hellraiser"
Number 2 "Re-animator
Number 1 "the night of the living dead"

Try the "Tony Clifton" method....proven effective 9 times out of 10.

Beware one out of 10 ends up in prison.

Not bad.

Which is the worst horror movie you have seen?

Have you ever made a kontiki?

Lol what would you have selected?

I'm mostly messing with you.

I'm not a horror purist, surely. My new favorites are humor rich.

From the last few years it'd be in no particular order:

Tucker and Dale versus Evil
Cabin in the Woods
Shaun of the Dead
Mama

Not sure if "This Is The End" counts as horror...more comedy, but still pretty awesome and I'm gonna put it here.

So I'm more irreverent.

I havent seen the worlds end yet but im dying to. I went yje other night but ended up watching that piece of crap riddick

It was great. I was laughing so hard I was crying and stamping my feet. I also genuinely got scared a few times. Really good on the rollercoaster. Which is why I think humor is a perfect foil, it gives you the full range of emotions to play with. We also saw City of Bones and although they messed with the storyline it was really beautiful. My daughter just said the new Percy Jackson is also really pretty and it has Nathan Fillion, so gotta go see that too.

I loved the first 2 but they tried to totally revamp the character and change the riddick that i got used to into the original character again after everything he has been through it just seemed to be a reboot of the first one.

I've. Played the games and watched the anime I love the character of Riddick but this was just insulting to the fans. Opps necromongers no longer exist like really thwy were destroying civilization as they knew it but now you dont hear anything about them.

That's what it looks like. And I'm very much okay with that. :D

Awww. Karl Urban disintegrated and stayed that way.

I did too.

Now I will have to wait and see for myself.

The first one was great for me because I was right there with him.

"Who the hell thought she was a boy? Seriously?"

I had to ask the room. You guys bought the scruffy clothes = boy?

It's like a romance film where a clearly beautiful girl is wearing glasses and therefore she is obviously ugly.

I judge by voices. That was a girl voice.

No I totally called it. Ive always appreciated the darkantihero so Riddick was perfect and was even better in the second film.

Yeah, that's part of why I really liked it and I thought he did an excellent portrayal.

I'll see it when it comes out streaming, but probably not in the theaters.

Some people weren't on board with the extended universe direction of the character, so the second one is considered a kinda-sorta flop but not really. There were intentions on moving on in that new direction, but when you can't make Transformers-style bank on sci-fi, gotta go with the basic formula. Ideally, we'd be into a fifth Riddick film by now.

I liked the first and second, along with the Peter Chung animated short film that splices the two together. I'll sign on for this one.
