Bored? Question Gal is back again!!!

Hi Liz,:)

I'm glad you didn't give 42 as your answer. You'd of got zero points
for that.

The Love that surrounds us is a reasonable answer though arguably this
gives meaning to life rather than is the meaning of life.

When you say the Love that surrounds us do you mean love from other people
or love from something else ?

Are you really a librarian? Do you wear glasses?

It took all my self control to avoid making a smart retort about nice
pussies.:p

Very interesting....

In terms of the meaning of life and the meaning to life, to me there is not much of a difference. What is the difference for you?

And by Love that surrounds us, I guess I mean all things, not to be too Zen-ny but the energy that flows from everything - plants, animals, even Mother Earth herself.

Yes, I have glasses, though prefer contacts.

No, I'm not really a librarian - it just started with "L".

what is with men that won't go down on a woman because she hasn't showered in a whole day but would be quick to fuck her am I missing some logic here

Amen!

And I have known some women like that too (former g/f). I'm definitely more of an au naturel person - as they say, "Bring on Da Noise, Bring on Da Funk!"

I will say though, Avery, that I don't care and never will...unless it's been a week of no showers that is ;).

Re: Very interesting....

To me the meaning of life is more fundamental and is more about things
like why do we exist at all. Something that gives meaning to life is very
important, particularly to each individual that experiences it and makes
their life worthwhile, but its not so fundamental.

Providing there're the right type glasses can look really good on a woman.

Do you feel the energy that flows from everything ?

A Story

One day God decided to play a game....dividing into so many things....a cosmic hide-and-seek.....everything a part of the One and yet separate. And so, God peeks out from inside each of us, hidden when we hate, and shining through when we love.

Sappy, but my philosophy (in a very small nutshell) - no nut jokes plz :p

Re: A Story

This is meaning of life stuff.

I wouldn't rule out your story being correct but I don't believe it
either.

Re: So....

Hey Liz,:)

I don't believe in anything in particular. I think its more
productive to concentrate on making life better through practical
day to day actions.

Still if pushed I would say I don't believe in God or anything
of that nature. However I'm also sceptical about evolution. I
have a science background and I'm very unimpressed with the
vagueness and lack of proper evidence for evolution.

There are quite a few science fiction stories where life on
planets like Earth is influenced to a greater or lesser degree
by much older species from other planets. 2001 A Space Odyssey is
one example. I think this is fairly likely to be the case for us.
After all if you were a very old species and you wanted a worthwhile
hobby what would you do. Bit like gardening really.:)

Hi, Rough!

Sounds like you live in the "now" not in the questionable fuzzy philosophies of the years. Sounds good to me as long as it satisfies you.

And GuyJd, for the same reason that i comes before e except after c....and many many other exceptions :)

Liz,:)

I would be happy to live in sound, clear-cut philosophies of the
years. Just give me the hard verifiable facts and I will believe
anything, even in God.

What is your opinion of organised religion ?

For example do you think it brings most of its members closer
to God or does it get in the way ?
