Oh! Oh! Oh! Yes, I'm excited! I can't sit still! My heart is singing so loud it's over running my brain! Look at this...

*

There is a new little one who has chosen to come live in our family. Though that is not a picture of her (it has to be a her- we have too many hes) it is a picture of how she looks at 6 weeks after conception.

Needless to say, I am enthralled. I know this post isn't a poem, but I'm hoping it inspires some great poetry. If I can ever get the words in my heart to sort themselves out, I may find a poem or two in there. Maybe she is my muse returning to me. I do know that she (or he) is already loved so much it's making my heart swell.

* This is a picture of a fetus removed because of an ectopic pregnancy. Absolutely amazing!

Thanks so much you guys! I know I'm gaga but thats allowed. Being a grandmother is one of the best things that can happen to a person. And being a grandfather, too. I just don't know how I'll last til February.

Maria? I'm THE Grammy! and Grambo on my bad days, my grandsons inform me.

Thank you Ange. It's always good to think pink. Though I already have my eye on the tiniest ball glove you ever saw!

Thanks, CC and Valiant. All you folks are swell.

Grambo!!! Oh my goodness, that is the funniest thing I have heard all day!

Congrats Grandma Boo! And thanks for attaching such an amazing photo!

Oh good grief, Boo's pregnant!

Congratulations Boo!

I hope morning sickness is brief and you blossom as do all women who carry the next generation into the world.

ps In case you can't tell, I'm giggling my head off and so happy for the new addition into your family. Hey, anyone in our family who has babies has to know they're mine too. Sounds like it's the same for you. :)

As well it should.

Congratulations does not adequately express it, but it's all I've got. So, congratulations, dear. :rose:

No WSO, you can't be pregnant with your own grand-daughter. Your forgiven the slip
But even so, it is such a great thrill to go and spoil your G-kids and then let the parents take the heat. Just like it was when the wee ones were ours. And our parents spoiled them rotten! :D :D :D :D

It figures that someone would miss the last part of what I said.

Congratualtions, Boo! :rose:

I remember reading somewhere grandchildren were rewards for putting up with your children, or something to that effect. It looks like you've been especially good to be rewarded again.

I hear that the joy of granchildren is that, unlike your children, when you get sick of their kiddie nuttiness you can send them home to your kids. I figure that's the payback to your kids for the crap they put you through when they're teenagers.

Ange,
Mother of teenagers

What you mean put up with your kid's crap? No one told me that. Oh wait, my kidlet is still wee so I don't know what I'm for yet.
