Boolean operators don't work for me in TAG search.

Using the BDSM category, using All Time, if I search for "bondage" I get 90 pages of results. If I search for "whipping" I get 14 pages. If I search for bondage OR whipping I get NO STORIES FOUND.

I've cleared my cache.
I've tried a different browser.
I've tried with and without quotes around bondage and whipping.
Another user has done the same thing with success.

Any ideas?

I get 195 pages of results for "Bondage". 10 for "bondage whipping" (so that's an AND search, presumably). "bondage OR whipping" gives 215 pages.

In other words: I get the result you were expecting, somehow. I wonder what we're doing differently.

This is a bit like how stepping on your car's brake and its accelerator at the same time doesn't make it go up, even though there are vehicles which have controls which can make them go up.

All joking/bad simile aside, what's going on here is that "bondage OR whipping" is not a tag. "Bondage AND whipping" is not a tag. "bondage whipping" is not a tag. What you type in the tags search box is taken as one single tag you're searching for, unless you separate the words with commas, and that's just the way it works.

There must be a different tags-search page somewhere, which works differently from the one I illustrated.

THANK YOU!!!!!! I'd completely forgotten that I couldn't use Explore/TAGS. Instead I had to use SEARCH and fill in tags. Problem solved!!!!
