angela146 said:So, what book or books (of an erotic nature) did you read at an early age that affected you?
For me it was Sadopaedia.

Wifey, by Judy Blume
I loved her books, then found out she wrote an adult book, I wanted to read it so bad but the librarian that had known me all my life said no, not without your moms permission.
Well Mom was presured into taking it out and reading it first. She didnt think it was that bad so she let me read it. OMG they had real sex in it!!! lol
Years later I worked for the library and when I saw the exact book, I had to have it. Yes, I stole it!
It was the first book to give me the urge to take care of my own business so to speak! lol
Have a good one, Cealy

Payton Place. I also spent a week poring through Jean Paul-Sartre's Nausea that I found on a shelf at home. It had a sexy cover and it was by a French guy. What did I know? Can you imagine trying to get a hard-on reading Sartre when you're 14 years old?

You needed to read Peyton Place near its publication (the times). When it came to tv it was watered down and boring. The soppy and very young Ryan O'Neal starred with the equally uninteresting Mia Farrow. I think there was a movie too, starring Lana Turner.Sub Joe said:I never read Peyton Place. It was a really dull series on TV (which I saw when I lived in the states, fifteen years later as part of Alistaire Cooke's "Masterpiece Theater"). Didn't know it had sex. Didn't it star Richard Chamberlain?
curious2c said:I guess the very first time something I read affected me it would have been the Bible, in church. Song Of Solomon I believe it was, where the writer talked of the church as if it were a lady. I found myself with a rather hard...anyway, it was kept from being embarrassing due to the fact the preacher had just started his long winded sermon.![]()
The first real sex story I read...Story of O. Man...my thoughts.![]()
sweetnpetite said:LOL, that book. I think they leave that in the bible to give teens and perverts (like us) a reason to keep going to church. I don't believe for a minute what the 'church' sais about the book being 'metaphorical'-- that is just the justification the sex-haters use for it's inclusion. (Hell, that is a whole other thread) [And yes, I do think they are 'sex-haters']
Many of the books that have been listed so far, were also on this list: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...1903562/sr=5-2/ref=sr_5_2/104-5262297-0499904
