Boobs and Books

Finished The Women by Kristin Hannah last night. It was very good, but made me restless and kept me up 2 (or 3?) nights ago, and made me cry yesterday and they day before. Second book of hers that I’ve read, first being The Nightingale that ex-BF’s mom gave me.

Went to the used bookstore after my post-op appt and got 6 $1 books! 2 that I’ve read at least once, 4 that I have not. It was a pleasant surprise, because I usually only find 1 or 2 that interest me 🎉

Welcome to your friendly neighborhood book club… where we discuss books we‘re reading this month.

For spooky season… we have 2 offerings.

This is absolute slasher movie goodness. If you like senseless murder scenes and ridiculousness.. you will love it!

Never have I ever skipped ahead to the ending. And I'm pretty sure I've never damaged a library book, but I can't promise that. I was a little kid once and don't remember everything.
Everything else, yep.
Those, and I haven’t ruined a book in the bath either. I use a Kindle sealed in a Ziploc bag, I’m not a animal 😜

I’m not a bath person, so I’ve never had that issue. I have taken my waterproof kindle on the pool though! 😂
My Kindle is so old, it has a keyboard and ran on the Whisper Network that Amazon shut down recently. It has a fuckton of books stored on it and will keep using it for sunny reading conditions, but have to use my phones or iPad to download newer books

My mom was using my old one just like that until about a year ago. Then she was forced to finally use the new one I bought her for Christmas…three years ago 😂

I hate living in the country now. I lived in Fort Worth for so long and had tons of half priced book stores to shop at. Now I don't even have a serviceable library in a 60 mile radius. *cries*

Have you looked into whether you have a county library that lends ebooks?

Yes. I am 30 miles from even a small town that has grocery stores and Walmart but no book stores. There is a library there but not a great selection.
