Shawn had not words at first. His body was on sensory overload as he pulled out of Bella and rolled to the side first, and smiled as he kissed Bella. "I had no idea..." he sighed and let his eyes drift closed. "Were you always that amazing?" he asked both a little jokingly and almost sleepily.

She smiled some, and realized what time it was. She got up and dressed "I need to get going Shawn, need to do some packing " once she was done she kissed him. "You will find someone else that makes you happy, just don't keep thinking of me since it will just drive you nuts"

Thankfully Shawn was too spent to argue and stop Bella. He had enough strength to watch her get dressed and that was enough. "He's very lucky." Shawn finally admitted as Bella headed for the door. "Bella!" he smiled, "Makes sure the next guy appreciates you. I'm just sorry I never did." And with that he pulled a throw pillow off the couch and prepared to nap, naked, on the floor.

She turned and smiled at him "I will" She said softly and left, she managed to get home fine. And the next following weeks were very interesting. She was always a thin girl, but she started to gain weight, and she got butter flies in her stomach a lot so she went to her doctor and found out she was pregnant. She suspected as much, since she hadn't made love to Jared, afraid of what he would say, but she knew he was home so she had to tell him. When she got home, she looked for him, and smiled.

"Jared we need to talk"

"Sure." Jared gave pause the moment Bella said those words and put his briefcase down carefully. He had now idea what was going on, but he was aware that there had been a problem, though he wasn't sure what that problem was. Bella had been somewhat distant all of a sudden but there was no guarantee that he'd like the reason why, but he sat with a nod and tried to put on a pleasant smile. "What's gong on? Is everything okay?"

 

[Mayu]

She smiled some "I'm sorry Ive been distant, but Ive been scared about something." Thinking for a moment she felt the baby kick so she put his hand on her bare stomach. Her stomach swollen and the baby kicking pretty hard for being about a month old. "I'm pregnant" She lifted up her shirt so he could see.

Jared didn't react at first, visibly stunned as his eyes fell to Bella's belly. He lingered there, clearly processing the information...

As Jared thought about all of this he felt a wave of conflicting feelings rushing through him. Fear for not being prepared for his. Shame in thinking Bella was on the pill since she didn't seem concerned or even suggested he use birth control. Excitement that they were going to have a family and disappointment that it would be a huge focus on their lives. Jared had hoped they would have more time to focus on one another but interwoven in all of those emotions was joy and warmth. Bella was going to have his baby.

Jared took a breath and smiled brightly as he move to the floor where he could focus on her growing bump. "A baby?" He placed his hands on her and beamed. As if a thought struck him in the jaw, Jared looked up to meet Bella's eyes. "We should get married before the baby's here. We should move soon, get you a doctor. A specialist!" He rose to kiss Bella firmly. "We'll need a room for a nursery!" suddenly his head was swimming with both ideas and emotions.

Bella stood there silently as she waited to see the good and bad reactions out of him, which none came in the negative department. She smiled when he said "Baby" and placed his hand on her stomach. She wrapped her arms around him as he kissed her, thinking for a moment she smiled. "I'm glad your so happy. I was on Birth control Jared, my doctor said it's only 99.9 percent and I just happen to be the .1 that got pregnant any way" She said softly, wanting him to know this sure as hell wasn't planned.

Jared cuddled next to Bella and smiled, "Well, I guess that just means we were truly meant to have this baby." He hugged her to him, content that if they could beat odds like that it was meant to be. After a moment he took a breath asking, "Are you okay with this? I mean... we'll have to get married right away. I never wanted to rush things but - I guess life is happening for us."

She smiled some as she listened to him and she nodded. "I wanted a baby, once we can find out when the baby was conceived I'll be able to know who the father is. And if you want, when the baby is born we can do a DNA test, if you wanted to. But every time we have made love, Ive made a note of what date. Since I do have a diary that I write things down in" She grinned happily. Running her fingers down her stomach. "We don't have to rush to get married, we could always wait till the baby is born"

Jared felt a twinge of concern at Bella's words, saying she'd confirm who the father was. This would mean that she'd been with another man after him, but he couldn't dwell on that. She'd had a boyfriend before their parents died, and he had stressed returning to their old lives. He himself had fucked his own boss just last week, if only to keep the older woman from asking too many questions. He'd fallen into the affair out of convenience, and not love.

Jared pushed back his guilt and shook his head, "I believe you." he reached out and pulled her against him, "All I need to know is right here and right now." he kissed her, arms reaching around her waist just to feel her warmth against him. Moving from a kiss to a hug he held her there for a moment, then finally whispered, "It's not a rush to marry you, Bella. It's more that I want our baby to have a family when they enter our world, not just the promise of one."

She smiled some, Bella wasn't stupid. She had heard things about Jared's boss, but wouldn't say anything to it. When he wrapped his arms around her body, she felt protected and love. Giving him a soft smile, she ran her hand down his cheek lovingly. Everything seemed just perfect to her, enjoying the feel of him she closed her eyes when he kissed her. Her heart beat started to beat really fast, enjoying the feel of his lips on her own. She could feel the kiss growing deeper, when the kiss broke she smiled looking at him.

"I love you" She said softly.

Hearing her words, Jared gave Bella a reinforcing little squeeze. "I love you too." He hummed in delight, then let out a breath. "What do you think of Canada? I mean, we'd get married here and then move. You okay with a Vegas wedding? We could make a vacation out of it. I was going to put in my two weeks notice but I could put in my two weeks vacation first." He light a bit enjoying the thought of sticking it to his boss - in paper work.

She smiled some when he gave her the little squeeze, she was happy that he seemed to be so happy. She didn't mind a Vegas wedding, all she wanted to do was just marry him, legally. Well as legal as was possible, but when she heard what he said about a vacation she laughed some. "You really don't like your boss do you? she is nothing but trouble, Ive seen her down to the store. Using her body to get what she wants."

Jared found himself almost jumping to her defense, but quickly thought better of it. Mercy wasn't a bad person, though she was a selfish one. Years ago things had started like any affair, with two lonely people finding common interest. A woman who's husband worked too much to give her kids until she couldn't have any, and a man who worked too much to date anyone.

Then Bella happened. She's always been there, but it wasn't until now that he knew he had to stop living - correction - wasting his life. No, what they started as was a facade, and it had only been a matter of time before his boss went from inviting him to the symphony to just bending over her desk before meeting her husband for dinner. He felt so used all of a sudden, and once again he was back to disliking her.

"She's a very selfish woman. She's not a bad person," so he was a nice guy at his core, but he hoped that was why Bella loved him, "But she has been hardened over time. I don't know... maybe it's too late for her, but it's not too late for us." Jared let Bella slip from him and met her gorgeous eyes, "I don't want to grow old and bitter, taking the people I love for granted. That's why I want us to start our lives right. We can hit Vegas for a bit and then move to a new city and start over right then and here. I even know what we need! We get our original birth certificates and we're done. We even have different parents listed on them so it doesn't matter who those parents married. We don't have to change anything, but we can have everything."

Bella smiled at him lovingly, running her hand down his cheek, she was ready to do something good with her life. But she wouldn't tell him she knew about the affair. Afraid he would be angry at himself, so right now she said nothing about her. Nodding to his plan she smiled happily. Wrapping her arms around his neck, enjoying the comfort of him, he had no business feeling regret because she to slept with her ex once more. But it would never happen again, since she was starting over.

"Sounds nice" Bella said happily, landing into him she kissed him.

"I have my old birth certificate any way so that part is all set on my end, my mother had it for me" She smiled.

Hearing that Bella was all set, Jared gave her an excited kiss.

"I have mine too. They do background checks in my business so I always have all necessary documents handy." he smiled, "Let's do it! Let's pack only what we need, put the rest in storage and get out of this town. We'll move and come back for the rest when we're settled. What do you think?"

 

[Mayu]

She nodded some and was really happy about all this. "What about your job though Jared? did you give her the two week notice?" She wasn't to sure what he had done, she paid attention to what he said before about vacation. But just wanted to be sure he was set and not really saying that just to make her feel good about what there plans were.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of that tomorrow and then we'll be off. It might take one more week at most. Which is just enough time for you to find us a hotel to stay at and maybe get some tickets to a few shows." He hugged her happily, excited to know they were actually going to do this.

She nodded some, kissing him deeply she was really happy. The whole week to prepare came by quickly, buying the tickets, show tickets. Packing, and putting things in storage she grinned. The day they were heading to Vegas, she got dressed in a pair of black shorts and a black shirt, wondering if he had wedding rings. Since she didn't have a wedding dress.

Well before they were even on their way, Jared had reminded Bella of the ring he'd gotten her. The same ring she couldn't wear at first, so as not to draw too much attention to their plan. Now, however, he didn't care who saw and assumed since they were about to board a plane without plans of returning. Vegas was just one of many stops towards their future.

They checked into the Imperial Palace just as the sweltering Vega sun was starting to set...

Jared pulled the larger suitcases with him into the room behind Bella and closed the door. It was a nice room, though they probably wouldn't be spending too much time in it... or would they? Jared smiled at the thought and set their things aside for now. There was too much to do and see.

Hands now free of luggage he could wrap them and arms around Bella with a happy smile. "We made it." he said with a kiss. "So, the big question is - do we get married right away or enjoy being one another's fiance for a bit?"

Everything seemed so perfect, the trip was long and boring but she slept through it. So things seemed fine, and right now things happened to be going good. When she felt his arms around her, she sighed happily, enjoying the feel of his strong arms around her. Sighing softly, she couldn't help but grin and listened to his question.

"Why don't we enjoy each other as fiancé's first, since. I know we were born for one another, never did celebrate yet, since we were to busy"

Jared nodded, enjoying the idea, and took her hands. "Come one then. Let's get some dinner to celebrate. When your daughter asks what we did after we got engaged you'll have to skip over all the other stuff and tell her about dinner in Vegas." He smiled and made sure he had his room key.

"Oh, and I fully expect you to have a girl... even if she has an older brother or two to look after her."

She laughed some and listened to him, nodding some.

"Well if you say it maybe the fetus will be scared into being a girl" She chuckled and sighed a bit, enjoying the time she had and slipped into another outfit, a nice sexier one and was ready for dinner, following his lead.

Jared made sure he was casual and comfortable prior to the plane but did take the opportunity to change into a fresh shirt while Bella slipped into something a bit more attention grabbing. It was hard to say she could make herself look better, or worse, but certainly draw attention where she wanted it. He smiled, giving her a slow once over and then offered his arm. "Ready?"

The nice thing about Vegas hotels was that most had everything you needed, just in themed flavors. In the case of the Imperial Palace the restaurant would be Embers which just happened to be ranked in the top 5 of most romantic restaurants in Las Vegas.
