Jared returned Bella's kiss, silently agreeing to her desires to go where only the two of them mattered. A new life, a new family... a twinge of fear as he remembered he hadn't worn anything again. Hearing Bella stir, Jared woke up and opened his eyes. "Morning, gorgeous." he reached up to move a stray lock of hair past her cheek and over her ear. How nice it would have been to lay like this all morning, without a care in the world.

A pit started to sink into his gut as he remembered the need to to back to the "real world" as it was called. He pushed aside the worries, deciding to deal with them later like ripping of a bandage. It would hurt, but it had to be done before moving forward.

Bella smiled some as he held her close, she knew reality was knocking on there front door. But she knew he didn't want to deal with it, and she as sure as shit didn't want to either. Which I know is something we don't want to do" She said softly, then leaned up kissing him deeply. Running her hand down his chest down to his stomach. Everything seemed perfect, even if life had to be lived.

Jared moaned a little, a slight yearning that began to build. But then came the itch that told him he was running out of time. He could feel that nagging that quickly turned annoying, and found himself looking for excuses or justifications to not go back to the "real world" as it was.

Breaking the kiss Jared smiled, "God, I love you." he kissed her again, hugging her to him and rolling to his back to bring her over him. Pausing to find her eyes and run his hands through her hair Jared felt happy, and knew everything was just as it was meant to be. His body stirred but his mind tried to counter and the conflict within him grew. "Ohh... we have to go back to the city." he paused to kiss her again, "For just three weeks. I figure that should give us enough time, at least for me... a week to get some stuff together and then I can put in my notice." he kissed her again and smiled, "Maybe sooner! If I'm considered a security risk they'll let me go before the two weeks are even up." He hugged Bella close, a little hopeful that this might be over soon in a best case scenario.

Bella smiled as he moved so she was on top of him, she felt his body stir but didn't say anything. Bending down she rested her head on his chest for a moment, then when she picked up her head she smiled happily, kissing him deeply. All her love going into the kiss, she was beyond happy right now. And nothing would stop that, everything so damn perfect right now. "Why would you be considered a security risk?" She was curious it was like he wanted to be one, which wouldn't be good in the long run, it maybe hard to get a job. "Better take it as long as you need to, or else this could bite you in the ass later on" She said softly.

Jared just smiled and ran his hands from Bella's shoulders to her rear and back to play with the hair at her shoulders. He loved the smooth, warm, feel of her skin under his hands. Finally, after a pause that was more to focus on her body than the question he said, "Nothing like that. What I do requires me to know a lot of clients in the firm. They might worry that I'd copy client data and take it with me so I could keep working with them at another company. What normally happens is my client files go to someone else in the firm and they take over. It's going to be hard for me to start over without something to start with, but I don't intend to take anything." He smiled a little mischievously, "Though I might use this week to accidentally get my personal cell and email to a few of my favorite clients. I mean, when they find out I've left the firm there's no law that says I have to hang up on them."

Bella smiled at him kindly and nodded "Yeah no law against it, thought I'm sure your boss wouldn't like it. But who cares really?" She laughed some and kissed his forehead. "Mmm Jared I love you so much, how did we get so lucky to be in each others lives? I am glad that I finally found the man of my dreams, funny who it's my own family member, even thought we maybe step siblings we don't have to start over in relationships since we already know one another" She grinned.

Jared pulled Bella to him and cuddled her close. He enjoyed the feel of her right next to him and hummed in happiness, "I'm just glad our parents met, then." he paused to kiss her, tender at first then a little deeper. He managed to stop before he got to worked up. "Come on, we have to get packing." he have her rear a playful slap. Real life was calling and they had to get back to the city - if just to leave it that much sooner.

When Jared did get back to work, his first day was spent working on collecting information. He had some clients he'd want to work with later and others he'd wait until the last minute for. He'd already warned Bella that he might be working late the first few night, just to catch up and to copy information when no one was around to see him playing with flash drives. It was just as well since Bella's co-workers were pushing an upcoming happy hour that it seemed the department was in need of.

Bella sighed some, not wanting to go back to "that" world. Perhaps once the world saw them as lovers, and one day husband and wife instead of step siblings. It would be better, but as she got up and dressed she packed up everything. When she got back, Jared was busy with work. And her ex wanted to have a few drinks, she didn't know what to do, but decided to do it.

Jared's boss had stayed after late, and silently watched Jared work. She noticed something was off with him, narrowing her eyes she walked over to him and placed her hands on his shoulders. "Hello Jared" She said with a seductive grin, she may have been in her early 40's but she had a body like a goddess. She noticed a little change in him, thought she couldn't put her finger on it.

Bella had been told that a bunch of people from the office were going to be there as well, so Shawn wasn't trying to whisk her away for alone time at least. One of Bella's friends even offered to drive since she wasn't going to drink very much and was more than happy to drive Bella anywhere she needed.

Bella ended up at O'Brians, which was kind a nice Irish themed pub. It had food but it was known for it's drinks. Seeing Bella, Shawn smiled and approached almost right away. "Bella, I'm glad you made it. Let me buy you a drink?"

Back at Jared's office, most of the people had already left and Jared had been hoping that included Mrs. Mercer. His boss was actually a wife of one of the senior partners, and by senior that also meant old. It was a night similar to this that Jared had found himself falling to Mrs. Mercer's seductive techniques on more than one occasion but that was before Bella.

"Mrs. Mercer." He said slightly aloud, hoping someone else were near enough to hear. Opening a few more files he tried to ignore the hands on his shoulders hoping he could avoid this woman's advances. If he flat out rejected her she'd probably want to know why and he wasn't about to tell his boss that he was planning to run off with his sister - or step sister to be most specific. "Just playing catch up. You know how it is when you come back from vacation." He smiled and reached over to cover her hand with his own in an affectionate gesture then went back to work hoping she wouldn't push the issue.

Bella didn't want to be away from Jared, but she knew he had to live his life. And she did to, sighing softly she allowed Shawn to buy her a couple drinks. She didn't plan on sleeping with Shawn, she had Jared and that was who she wanted. But things could change, something she would learn shortly.

But Mrs. Mercer who's first name was Dawn was some what of a selfish person, but when he didn't ignore her she smiled some. Her husband was a drag since he hadn't been doing so well, she knew she would end up being a widow soon enough. But right now she had him, and didn't like the fact she was losing him. But she couldn't force him, but she did hear that his parents died and she was sad about that.

"I see, I wanted to tell you that you and your sister are in my prayers, I am sorry to hear about your parents. Well I will let you get back to work" It's not like Dawn could do or say anything in front of people. So she patted his shoulder, and walked back into her office. Shutting the door, she sighed some thinking about Jared, she was getting "In the mood" just thinking about him. Crossing one leg over the other, she grew worried about things.

"Tank you, Mrs. Mercer." Jared said, almost automatically. He couldn't relax until his boss had closed her door. He knew Dawn pretty well, and part of him wondered what she was doing behind that closed door. His mind flipped back to Bella, and he quickly closed things out and tried to get out of the office to avoid risking another confrontation. Tomorrow he'd have to come in earlier so as not to be here later.

Meanwhile Shawn was almost trying to make sure Bella had two drinks to his one. he'd ordered a round of shots for nearly the whole department a few times in hopes of putting Bella over the edge in intoxication. Seeing as she'd been avoiding him since she came back and she's all but officially broken up with him before she left. It was unofficial since he hadn't quite acknowledged it, so as far as Shawn was concerned they were kind of still together.

The night was late, and he was feeling the effects of the drinks. "How about another round?" he asked Bella, wondering how much more she could take.

Bella knew that she was getting drunk so she had to stop, shaking her head she patted Shawn on the back. "No Ive had enough, another shot I'll just be on my ass" She said simply and sighed a bit. She knew that she had to get home to Jared, yawning some she sighed a bit and walked up to Shawn. "Thanks for the drinks, but I need to get going" Bella said softly, a big smile on her face as she patted him. She tripped a bit but she was stable on her feet, she headed outside for some air, getting ready to call Jared to drive her home.
