Does anybody here also participate in the discussion forums at Bondage.com? I only just came across them (I've never really surfed that site) and it seems like there are some interesting threads there. All my friends are here, though...I'm just wondering if anybody I know is also there.

Me, occasionally. Um, I've seen MissT, Ezarch and Eb around there as well.

A lot of people from here are there but they don't always use the same nick.

Actually, I go there to read threads every now and again..have a profile up...though it's been awhile since I have been...

Love the new AV.

I dallied on the bondage.com forums for a bit.

I don't any longer as lit seems to take up my time and I am more drawn to this community as opposed to the much bigger community at bondage. Further, I am no longer seeking a partner or playmate, so being on line over there seems to automatically invite messages in my e mail.

After a while, when there, I felt like the threads were all repetitive and it seemed redundant to post at both forums. For some, however, the b.com forums are a good experience with different posters and input on many of the same thread topics.

posted there long, long looooong ago, but have been forbidden to visit there any longer because of my Master's low tolerance for ignorance and narrow minds.

I read over there a bit, though it can be overwhelming at times. It's a nice place if I am looking for something specific that I can't find here.

Occasionally I bump into nics I recognize from here, and it's sorta fun to check out the profiles. But, I'm like MissT in that I'm not looking, so I don't post or socialize there much at all.

Between Lit, my real life BDSM community activities, a job, my AOL BDSM community stuff, my online Pagan community stuff, and occasionally some time with my girlfriend and mine or our lady friends, I don't have enough time for another forum LOL

Size isn't everything.

I have a friend who far prefers b.com to Lit, mostly because of the broader scope of answers and discussion. Me, I prefer Lit because it's a little more intimate. I get to know the people, as well as just read opinions.

Checked it out a couple of times but never could get into the BDSM forums there. Many seemed to take more delight in denigrating people for posting what they did, or just giving those 1-2 line minimal response answers...and a lot very off an running on their egos. So I stay mostly here where I find the level of, and type of response a cut above the majority of other competitors so far, and to me Lit is a place where a lot of nice and real people hang out together. Oh, and I have heaps of trouble with B.com forums trying to sort out what is posting, what is sig, and at times where one poster ends and the next begins....in other words far less easy on the eye than Lit.

I agree with Catalina in her problems knowing who ends what and where.

I only checked them out last night after seeing this thread. But in the first 3 pages or so I was unable to find a single on topic post.

I gave up after that and will likely never return.

I'm happy just posting here. I don't have time to read more than Lit has to offer.

I think I'll stay with Lit too. I've grown rather fond of the smaller "community" we have here, even if not all of its nice.
Least you can recocognize (sp) "people" from post to post.

*walks off wondering if that made any sense what so ever- I hate flying trans-pacific flights...*

I don't visit there much anymore, but they do have meatier threads on things like techniques.

There are tradeoffs and everyone must pick the place(s) they care to visit.

I like Literotica because it is large enough to have active discussions and has a nice collection of erotic stories.

I checked out bondage.com but it didn't hold much appeal. The personal ads are a big part of that site and the forums seemed to be a showplace for people to attract prospective suitors.

I did register a joke account at bondage.com so I could do their checklist and determine my purity. But beyond that, I am just a casual poster at Literotica and that better suits my purposes.

And how pure did they think you were? :D

I have been into a couple of threads, and they've tended to be on-topic. I guess perhaps it depends on the thread. The problem I found is that it's harder to get to know the *who* behind the response, because there are so many people.

Still, as WD says, they've got some great threads on techniques. I've also read some good ones on Mindfucks. But some of the advise threads tend to be a bit "moralistic". But then, I've seen Lit posters do that as well.

i visit b.com on occasion, and have posted there in the past. theres a few people over there that have helped me in my quest for a Domme, and the advice i recieved helped me find Karen and Holly, but the ironic part of that was according to B.com's match engine, we're not compatable:p and my closest match was a Lesbian Domme looking for FEMALES ONLY:) there are pluses and minuses to B.com, but the three of us prefer Lit, and this fourm

Hey, that sounds entertaining. I'll have to give it a try even if only for that reason.

I spend about about half of my time these days at b.com, mainly because I believe the quality of posts here has fallen off in the recent past. I find b.com, frankly, has more of what I am looking for, which are posts ABOUT BDSM.

For the most part, I am not really interested in fluff, and Lit has gotten decidedly fluffy.

On the down side, it's a big place (600-700 users online at any given time) and I miss the intimacy of Lit alot. On the up side, the BDSM fora (there are 3) are on-topic, and interesting. I find them a bit more egalitarian than here, with a decent mix of male subs, female subs and both male Doms and female Dommes.

*shrugs* I lurk alot here, continue my work with the Library, and post now and then.

I won't be doing much of either pretty soon....real life is about to get VERY busy *grin*

I've made exactly one post (under a different name) and it went completely unremarked. I'm unimpressed. The checklist was fun, as was the "what's your personality/life history/ideal future/philosophy on life, condensed into a paragraph?" section. If I were more serious about looking for friends in the area, I'd possibly spend more time there.
