Saw them support AC/DC at the Apollo early eighties. That's before they changed from being a metal band into that godawful FM rock shit they turned into.

Bon Jovi was always more squarely in the rock n' roll realm than the metal realm, despite being pegged as a "Metal band" by the 80's media. Nothing wrong with good old rock n' roll though, except that I always found Bon-Jovi's music to be rather bland and vanilla. Especially compared to, say, AC/DC, or U2, Bauhaus, the Cure, or most "Real" metal bands.

It's good music for people to bag sand to, though.
