The terrorists were to come from Ontario, Canada!

A few weeks ago, there was "discussion" on this board about the new US proposal of fingerprinting and photographing all Arab/Muslim "visitors" from Canada. Predicatably there was the usual back and forth about the need and "legality" of it all.

With the story noted above, there seems to be little reason that the US should not enforce the monitoring of these people. I know that terrorists will not go across open borders, but nevertheless every bit helps.

While this situation is less then ideal, we live in a less then ideal new situation.

I believe that it is better to inconvience some at the border,then to take the chance of some unsavory character crossing the border.

When the US troops swept thru safe houses, hideout and caves in Ganistan, the did take all sorts of forensic evidence. Those included blood samples, fingerprints and DNA. This huge data bank has already been used to identify terrorists thruout the world.

So indeed taking blood/DNA samples may not be out of the question. Though it is not necessary since a simple swab of saliva is enough for DNA evidence.

You guys miss the crux of the point

It is always somewhat non credible, till it happens.....

The FBI had warnings of 9/11,but it also "lacked firm credibility"

The main point I was making was that it is and was a good idea to ID all Arabs/Muslims that come thru the Canadian border......

Some of you go to such efforts to discredit all that I say.....instead of just thinking about what I say.....

I assume I am to blame for that!
