Boebert won by a mere 546 votes in 2022, and was trailing badly in this cycle.
So today she announced she was abandoning the third district of Colorado to run for the fourth district seat (the incumbent, Ken Buck, is retiring because his district was too wrapped up in nutty conspiracy theories).
Boebert will continue to live in the third district, Colorado doesn't require residence in the county one represents.

The 4th is definitely a better fit for her. Having said that, the last time they elected someone that nutty, she lasted two terms and then became the first Republican to lose that seat since 1970. If anyone can make that happen again, it's Boebert.

Boebert is running away from another Adam Frisch challenge, what is she so scared of?

When she loses all she has to do is claim that the voting was rigged, there were wheelbarrows of ballots being pushed around, there's lots of evidence and it'll be produced all in good time, maybe a fortnight or possibly in ten years.

Or does she actually know that it's all lies, and that votes count?

She needs to win to qualify for a federal Congressional pension. She is one election short of fully qualified.
At this point, it's not who she represents, she just needs to hold on to her job for two more years.

and lining her own pockets is what it's all about, that and a sense of power

I don’t follow her that closely, but I have seen no evidence that she has an interest in power. Celebrity. Attention. Yes. But an interest in power would seem to imply an interest in taking some actions. From what I’ve seen, she has never tried to actually achieve anything.

Probably a lot of new Commies being moved into the district by Democrat NGOs.:D

They earn a pension how fast ?
  • Full pension at age 62 with 5 years elected service (Boebert has 4)
  • Full pension at age 50 with 20 years elected service
  • Full pension immediately after 25 years elected service
Nice benefit if you can get it.

They qualify for the bonus "High stress" multiplier reserved for federal first responders, FBI special agents and air traffic controllers and Congress.

Pensions can be forfeited for corruption, election fraud or "official misconduct".

Average pension is around 84K per year.

This was my pension plan as well. Took full annuity (worth $80,000 annually with full health benefits) at 51. Very nice, leaving room for a full second career and long retirement.

Are you telling us that you did this all on your own without showing yourself to be a clueless fraud and without jerking off a democrat in a crowded theater?

Surely her service should have started the night that she met Ted Cruz in a hotel room and brushed out the hair on his back. This is described in her autobiography. Sounds like good service to me.

Escort Service/"private modeling"/massage/Sugar Baby functions fall under "Congressional Ancillary Services" and do not count towards federal service as these services are technically paid by the Koch Brothers / Leonard Leo / NRA consortium.

For the furries.

No, basically what I'm saying is the those in Congress have the same retirement plan as those in the federal government excepted (with danger pay provisions) services do.

I don't know what the source of the snottiness in your post is--but I also don't care.

You completely misunderstood what I posted. My fault. I could’ve been more clear in my sarcasm.

If you deliberately do something against the wishes of the party, are you still expecting later support from them? And no I'm not just referring to giving a democrat a hand job.

In the local debate to decide whether Boebert (who came to notice by combing Raphael Cruz's back-hair in hotel rooms) is of low enough status to represent a safe seat in Colorado, the candidates were asked how many had arrest records.

Six out of the nine on stage raised their hands, high-fiving each other. Boebert possibly has the most with three arrests, although in true MAGA style she only admitted to one.

She was asked to define 'carpet-bagger', but she was unable. That word wasn't included in her GED cheat-sheet.

The Republicans are no longer a serious party.

We finally have the answer to 'What is a carpet-bagger'...

It's a cross between a carpet-muncher and a tea-bagger.

maybe, but i saw the link to boebert, regardless
Haha.
You're trying to get me in trouble. Again.
I was trying to embarrass Boebert by saying how I respected anyone else who had a plan in place and acquired early retirement the right way. I'm not linking the others I was, unfortunately, using to make that poorly written point lol just clarifying for you, dear butters.;)
Well, I think you got it anyway.

Here's a link to the video of the "raise your hand" moment.

Chaos in Colorado!
  • Ken Buck (CO-4) announces intention to resign immediately, leaving CO-4 seat vacant
  • CO-4 is the seat Lauren Boebert is running for in November, she is vacating highly competitive CO-3 district.
  • Boebert must resign CO-3 to be considered Republican candidate for CO-4 remaining six month term.
  • There will be NO Republican primary for remaining 6 months of CO-4 term
  • Republican party officials must nominate a single candidate for CO-4 term, Dems must nominate a candidate too. This is for the unexpired six months left in CO-4.
  • CO-4 district historically votes 2:1 Republican over Democrat, because they hate America
  • Boebert has alienated state Republican officials AND people in CO-4, currently running 3rd
  • Virtually NO chance of Boebert convincing Colorado Republican state officials to nominate her, she's burned those bridges a long time ago.
  • Boebert announce she will NOT step down from CO-3 seat
  • Colorado Democratic Governor announces Rep/Dem Primary on Jun 25th will ALSO be a Gen. Election for six month remaining term in CO-4
  • Boebert squeals "this is too confusing for Colorado voters" Note: same thing happened in Georgia in 2020.

Boebert is confusing

I thought Palin was bad news

What if McCain had chosen his running mate in a rational way ?
