hi fondelum!! i found the thread and gotta say, your scars are awesome BUT i was very distracted by all the hair! i am a hair gal, okay maybe a scar/hair gal....lolol....i hope you are having a wonderful day. sadly :)confused:), i have no scars so i can't contribute unless i can figure out a way to take a picture of the ones my heart has from healing over after being broken many times....:D. hope to talk with you soon, gorgeous here today so headed out for a bit to visit with the goatchildren.....gc:kiss:

He He I can see your belly button. Those are well done and nicely healed as far as I can see. Surgery scars are so much tidier than injury ones :D

Two more, one is a feeding tub that is an extra bellybutton, and the other an IV cutdown which looks like the barber really screwed up my head...lmao

Doctors don't use the Tetracycline Antibiotic anymore. Heavy doses had a this side effect.  Back in 1969 that's was what they had available :)

Kids born with Cystic Fibrosis now at least need not suffer this thank God :D

I'm very accident prone, so I have several, but they're all subtle. A few stitches here, an oven burn there...my family attributes it to bad inner ear balance, but I think I'm just really impulsive. Sounds more romantic that way. :)

I've got a couple good ones. Most noticeable one is from when I worked security at a late night bar in a major city. It was late and we got into a bad fight with some local gang bangers. As we were fighting to get control of one of them I was grabbed from behind by two other guys and pulled down to the ground and had two bottles smashed across my forehead. One caught me around the middle of the forehead leaving a diagonal scar about 4" long ending right between my eyebrows, the other one is along my hairline maybe an inch or two from my temple.

It happened very, very quickly. Suddenly I found myself on my back with one of the clowns on top of me so I grabbed him by his throat and was lifting him off of me when his buddy hit me in the head with his bottle. I still held the guy on top of me by his throat and as I was about to throw him off me he came around with his bottle and connected squarely with my forehead as well. Wasn't really able to move too much to get away from them unfortunately. My face was suddenly warm and very, very wet, and I was literally seeing red from the blood in my eyes. I got him off me and got up wiping the blood out of my eyes with my adrenaline pumping like mad, I wasn't phased at all by what had just happened only very angry and now looking to settle the score.

I'm a big guy, around 6'5 260 and when I got up after taking two bottles to the head like nothing happened these guys didn't seem to want anything to do with me anymore. One guy ran like hell at that point and I grabbed the bigger guy by his shirt as he was trying to run. I proceeded to express my displeasure with him as he struggled to get away. I ended up ripping his shirt off of him as he fought to get away and I ended up using it to soak up some of the blood gushing out as he ran into the street and a couple of the regulars from the bar surrounded him in the street. The cops were rolling up by this point from all the 911 calls so the party was over. I got a ride in an ambulance and ended up flirting with some of the nurses in the ER as they knew some of the bouncers and had been to the bar a number of times.

I asked a couple medical workers that I knew at the bar and the ambulance guys what they thought of the wound and they all gave me very somber looks. I thought I was gonna have a terrible scar for life but the ER doc worked some magic and all the nurses were shocked when they saw how well he cleaned it up. I should go find him and get him a case of beer or cigars or something. Hummm....

Other major scar doesn't have as much of a crazy story. I was doing some wood work at a job site when I was 18 and didn't know the circular saw I was using had a broken safety cover (another guys saw they had me use to help out) so when I cut some wood and went to put the damn thing down it basically did a flip and landed in my palm. Ripped out pretty much all the tendons ligaments muscle and nerves in my pinky and part of my palm. Blood squirting like a cartoon according to coworkers. They thought I was screwing around at first till they saw the red geyser. lol

Of course this happened on a Friday and late in the day. The hand surgery specialists were about to leave for the day when they got a call about me and had to stay late. After the nurses used me as a show and tell calling over multiple people and pointing out all the fun stuff you could see in my open wound to the new nurses they got me into the specialist. X-Rays and everything looked horrible. They got me into surgery and did what they could putting in I believe 13 pins, but I still can't really use my pinky so well on the one hand anymore. At least I still have it though I guess. Have about a 3-4" scar from the first knuckle of my pinky to about 1/3 of the way into my palm.

One of the guys took this pic an hour or two after I got stitched up when we went out to breakfast.

This is what it looks like now. Had to play with angles to try and get it to show as much as possible. You can't even see it at all from most angles and I've known some people for a while that have never noticed it. Keeping the wound soaked in the ointment stuff they gave me constantly went a LONG way in making this heal up so fast and so well.

Battle Story Woot!! :D. Your scars healed up nicely. Some of my friends are bouncers and it's an adventure i'm sure. However if you got the body and build for it then hey definately. It's one of those recession proof jobs. Thanks a lot for posting. I hope your gigs now are smooth and lucrative :)

Hmmm Romantic ;) yes but as a guy that's slowly, hereditarilly losing his hearing from loads of medication you should try and get that checked out.

Haven't kept this thread up as i'm running out of scars lol

Hopefully I won't need to get anymore

I'm always fascinated by the human body, and scars are a part of that. Regardless of how they were gotten- surgery, injury, illness- it's pretty amazing to me how our bodies repair themselves.

Since i've had 3 major operations in life due to Cystic Fibrosis. I find scars on the body very sexy. Battles fought and conquered perhaps? Anyone have any thoughts on this topic?

we are all human....we all have scars.....internal and external.....

I'm not sure my readers realize how into scars I am, since I tend not to draw attention to them, instead portraying them as a realistic consequence of a character's lifestyle. I like the idea of having characters be physically marked by the trials they've undergone.

(That reminds me, I need to check and see if Katawa Shoujo has finally completed--I'm not normally interested in H-games, but when I saw a picture of the burn-scarred girl, I immediately wondered what her story was.)

Surgical Scars...

Not sure how well they show up but I have pretty cool scars from my breast reduction 13 yrs ago...

I also have several fresher abdominal scars from a surgery I had in June of 2011...

Do you find these attractive???

I couldn't see any scars on the first two but some guys are going to spend hours looking:D

Hard to see. From a dialysis in 2005. Had gotten really sick. Was on ventilator and in hospital for 2 months and 7 days. At one point oxygen got so low that my soul had left my body momentarily. Scary  Good to be alive and well!

Here is my sugery scar. Took 3 tries to get it so lovely. (The best bit is above my hair line)
