When I saw the story of his trial pop up recently, I really couldn't believe it. I thought this corrupt scumbag had been removed or voted out of office already, if not prosecuted and sitting in jail. I rail against corrupt Republicans all the time. I certainly do that against corrupt Democrats as well, when there is ample evidence of corruption. Those gold bars in his sock drawer were pretty incriminating...

Only because they are supposed to have been stolen. But because they may have been stolen at some point doesn't mean he stole them or that he knew they were stolen. I think he's been corrupt for some time but not because he had some gold bars. Lots of people have physical gold and silver in their possession.
