Bob Dole, RIP

a "testament to human sacrifice." hmmm, alright there, vette. if it were anyone else i'd considered that phrase ill-considered at best. knowing you, however, well....
 
Bob Dole could be a tough adversary politician, but, yes, to celebrating his sacrifice to the nation--and having endured the result--and I could only wish the current Republicans in Congress were of the Bob Dole quality. RIP to him.

Looking forward to what Trump will say on this one. Dole gave him a deserved kick in the ass on his way out.

Dole was actually one of the earliest "establishment" Republicans to go all-in on Trump, possibly not surprising since Dole was basically a collection of resentments so he probably felt a kindred spirit.

Remember, Trump judges all people on one criterion: "Were they nice to me?"

I guess it's fitting Dole died on a Sunday. Aside from McCain, no one was more beloved by bookers on the Sunday shows. I assume the Meet the Press set was draped in black.

No. This came up once in the '90s, when some overseas politician - I think in Turkey - reacted to a policy Dole was calling for that he didn't like by trying to ban sales of Dole pineapples in his country.

While I didn't vote for him, I had a lot of respect for him. RIP.

Bob Dole was one of those guys who earned respect for his service and sacrifice, and then pissed that respect away by supporting the traitor in chief.
