lol. Gotta love a mother's touch.My daughter really hates borrowing in math.
It is quite a chore to teach it to her.
She says mermaids don't do math.
I say she is the first mermaid then that does.

I don't use hats as an expression of function x when calculating fractions.
But mermaid combs would be an excellent example.

They're so convenient. For example, if you have one hat, and you cut it into three pieces, then burn one of the parts of the hat, how many pieces are left?

Maybe that is why she hates borrowing in subtraction.
We are talking multiple borrowing.

I don't think there's a way to make subtraction fun. Maybe 'So, you have 124 minutes of school time left. If you finish your work in the next 86 minutes, how much extra free time do you have?'
