when I was poking around your music site. It was fantastic!!

Great work:D Chicago will miss you.

I totally agree. He is one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard....amazing.:rose:

Blues,

Do you know Dave Urich? I met him on a live radio show (Kevin Matthews).

Oh my!!!!

Thanks to both of you. I apprecaite it when anyone takes the time to listen. I especially appreciate it when they "advertise" for me.
Im not really all the much into self promotion. But I have been pushed by others to be that way as much as I am . You wouldnt believe the cajoling it took to get me to put my stuff up for the world to hear.
Thank you so much again. I truly appreciate it.:D

Sign me up as one who's pushing. If enough of us keep pushing you'll finally realize the truth: YES, you truly are that talented!

"don't you boys know any nice songs?"

No, Im sorry I dont. But I love meeting new people.

Blues,

Do you have recordings on CD of your work? I love your style, It's no far stretch to imagine that you have more than enough material to produce one.

He plays guitar and I think other instruments too. He's local, so I thought perhaps you'd met. He too plays for other groups as well as his own material.

Perhaps you could look him up, I don't know too much about musicians, do you guys share resources and the like?

The pop ups at his site freeze my computer.
I need to get a pop up filter thingie for my computer first.

And he has played for me over the phone.

There is plenty of my hired gun stuff to do that but not my own work. What is ironic is that music is mostly for a Demo the studio owner insisted I do on the spot. I had minutes to decide what I was gonna do and get prepared.
Sadly I have been poor most of my life so I havent been able to afford to do much studio work. I am hoping to build a small didgital studio with my comp but even that I am quite a bit of $ away from doing.
As far as you ladies go, all I can say is if we were talking in RL I would be stuttering and blushing in a big way. I honestly dont know how to respond to that. I mostly hear what "could have been" and see my glaring flaws.
Trail, do you play any instruments?

Honey, keep taking those little baby steps, or it will always be "what could have been".:(
There are NO, I repeat, NO flaws in your music. Put yourself aside and just play. Just play.

Nope, in another life I ran a sound board for a long time, it put me in touch with local guys and local studios.

The music you play Blues...it has the passion...thats the one thing that can't be taught. Technical ability is important, but if the music does not have the soul (signature) of the musician, its just notes. Intrigued is right, play.....let the listener be the final judge...you won't be disapointed

I just dont know what to say

Im actually a bit embarrassed (treasure that, it doesnt happen often). BTW, you may download any or all the tunes there and do whatever you wish with them. Just please give me credit for the work.
I have been hired to do the anonomous side project for many years but just havent gotten a good CD of my own out of it yet. I have the tunes to do but no side men I can afford nor the money to do a real studio thing yet. I will be working on that soon.
What I REALLY need is a contract with a major label. Know anyone form Alligator records by chance?

Thats the one thing

That I know I do have. Passion. I pretty much get by on that alone. I have given up a lot of things in my life so I could focus on being a player and a better player. I even tried to walk away form it once as it just consumes me. As you can see that didnt last.

Nope, i don't know any recording guys....I'll PM you some other thoughts

Ok a bit of self promotion...

This Friday Im doing a gig with UncleJ's band in Wimberly Tex. There is also a good chance I will be playing at the Houston Jazz Festival, date as yet unknown. There are some longshot things in the works also. There is also a possibility of airplay soon but not in my area.
God I hate doing self promo.

For some reason, I am just shivering here.

If anyone out there has the money to invest in an amazingly talented musician (though in deep dark denial about it), bluesboy is your man.;)

It is the lifeblood of your business. You're good. Nothing wrong with letting as many people as possible in on it. Right now you're reaching out to something like 100,000 people on this board. Some of them will tell others, who will tell others...ah you know the deal :)
