BELIEVE IN MAGIC



I believe in Magic. I see magic all around me every day. I see it when I walk in the 80 acres of forest next door...in the crisp fall leaves, glimmering scarlet and gold in the sunlight (wasn't it just yesterday that they were the loveliest green?) I see it and smell it in the fragrance of the wild pink roses, and the Spring lilacs (my favourite flower). I see it every time I set my eyes on a brand new baby...whether it be a friend's new child, or the foal that my neighbor's mare gave birth to this April.

The beauty of nature, with her magnificent thunderstorms...the lighting streaking in the sky, or her breathtaking sunsets, that I watch from my deck...or the millions upon millions of stars I gaze upon in the sky, never cease to thrill me. And, ahhh, the Aurora Borealis, how can you not believe in Magic when you see it? I wrote a Poem about the Northern Lights, for they thrill me so.

Yes, I believe in Magic. I believe there are Fairies in my woods, and I brush the wide, flat rocks in my yard, free of leaves, so they can do their dances at night on them. I ask the Angels to watch over and comfort my loved ones and I. I believe in Unicorns and Dragons, and feel the reason we don't see them is that we have closed our minds to the possibility of them.

I love the magical guidance of Astrology, and I do Tarot Card readings, and practice Celtic Magic. I gain insight by meditating and serenity by visualizing what I want to have happen. I find magic all the time in books, and in thoughts and quotations of magnificent thinkers, and of course in extraordinary artwork. I love being alive and I give thanks all the time to my Higher Power for providing me with such an awe-inspiring world of magical possibilities.

and consciously aware of my surroundings.

as if I'm solar powered
it seems like every now & then

letting the wind push and shove in my dreads as if it's an argument
But really they're just snuggling for affection
hair needs loving too,
speaking of love the western civilization is on another tip
to tell you the truth they need to dip into the fountain of youth!
