Hi.

Many people come here to blow off steam, to enjoy themselves or make friends. I come here with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes.

I don't want to start this thread by being so downbeat but the reason I am here is a very personal matter. And the pain in my heart is almost unbearable.

Coming here could be the best thing I have done or the worst. I simply do not know yet.

Above all, what I need is to get over my heartache. Please help me. :rose:

How we can help? You're obviously a beautiful woman -- someone in particular who broke your heart? I'm sure you'll get a lot of positive attention on Lit!

Sorry you are hurting Broken, but from each experience we grow. One door closes, another opens. Take care of yourself and stay positive.

Interaction with others is a great healer especially when it's a positive conversation and with a pic like that to start it can't help but be positive..

I can't even begin to imagine the pain ....but we'll be happy to help remind you that in the long run it's HIS loss. Take your time to heal, and I understand it may be a while, but you WILL get through this and come out better for it on the other side.

Honestly, my longest relationship was three years, and it wasn't a marriage although we were engaged by the end. It took a pretty long time to fully get over it, but I'd say after the first couple months it got a lot easier. There will be good days and bad, times when you think are through it only to have the pain return and blindside you once again. Just keep your head above water and be good to yourself during this time -- understand that it is NOT your fault and do what you need to do to get through. Talk to us, we'll help you all we can.

There is no timetable, but I can tell you that every day you put one foot in front of the other and keep going, it will get, little by little, better.
