Guns, Immigration, Leftists, RWCJ'ers, Obama is very happy you fuckers are so distracted.

It allows him to look like he cares, but he really doesn't. If he was interested in the "Rule of Law", we'd see Wall Street changing from pin striped suits to prison uniforms.

The Untouchables,
on PBS

How many Congress Critters have you heard screaming about "Responsibility and Good Governance", yet they never talk about why we are in this fucking mess?

I saw that the other night. As usual, the book was better.

Not only did the government not prosecute Wall Street, it gave them billions of dollars and granted the big banks a monopoly on the financial markets.

All things in context.

We are witnessing the decline of the nation-state as the dominant political institution in the modern world. These are the early days of a post-national world system, the defining characteristic of which is the concentration of wealth (and control of all its trappings: production, distribution, investment, etc...) in non-government entities that are inter-or-supernational in scope.

Traditional governing bodies are effectively being subordinated as instruments used by a collection of financially interrelated entities in order to facilitate their own growth. These entities are, as we have clearly seen in the United States and Europe, functionally above the law of any nation.

This isn't some New World Order mumbojumbo, it is the consequence of centuries of gradual development in politics and economics. The modern nation state wasn't even a thing a few centuries ago, and it is going to stop being relevant within our generation.
