Bleeding after sex?

Okay - such an embarrassing question. My husband and I have enjoyed anal sex on many occasions. This most recent time it was a little more rushed than normal. I noticed some discomfort. That was this morning. Now, every time I have used the restroom, I have noticed bleeding. It seems quite a bit to me, but might not be. It is enough to color the water. I know, it's disgusting, but I don't have the guts to call a doctor yet.

I wanted to know, have any of you experienced this, and if so, how long did it take for it to clear up? Or did you have to see a doctor.

Never had that happen. Has it cleared up yet? Maybe you might want to call a doctor if it's still happening in the morning.

You prolly just ripped some tissue and when you go to the bathroom your stool ruptures it again. It should go away in a few days.

I've experienced some bleeding directly after anal sex, but it cleared up within a few hours and only appeared on tissue. This usually occurred if there wasn't enough lube used or my partner was more rough than usual.

You probably have some torn skin tissue in the rectum that is being aggravated a bit when using the restroom. Not to get too personal or disgusting, but are you bleeding all the time? Or only when/if you have a BM? If only when you have BM, I would wait a day or two and see if it clears up. If you are bleeding constantly, then you might want to call your doctor. Yeah, I know it might be a little embarassing for you, but I'm sure most doctors have heard it all before and you won't be the first time some one has asked the question.

Call a doctor just to be safe, its nothing to be embarresed about. But I agree with Bryce.

It could possibly be anal fissures - small tears that can be aggravated by anal sex. If it is that it is really nothing to worry about, but a doctor wants to know about any rectal bleeding mainly to rule out the truly scary stuff.

Since trhe Doctor has already seen many more of the same thing, yours will be nothing new.

If rectal bleading lasts more than a day GET TO THE DOCTOR! An infection in that area can lead to very serious results. Been there and don't want to go back.

Thank you. I am still bleeding, onky after a bm though. I doesn't hurt, tho, so I guess Im not too worried about it. Hopefully it will clear up on its own, asd the amount does seem to be less eadch time. And, I think unless it gets painful, Im probably okay. Judst scared me - never had a tear this bad before.
