geeez I'm sorry I keep randomly disappearing!!!!
here's an update! lol
Ok, so you know my mom was leaving my dad, and we were trying to get a house?
Ok, we had a signer, and he was going to do everything for us.
So we found a nice house, not the one we wanted, but a nice house. The real estate agent we wanted to go through was stuck in Florida. Well, the agent who had the house, said “oh go through me, I’ll do everything for you, I’ll get it all done and handled as fast as possible, etc. etc. etc.” So we agreed. We put an offer on the house, which was actually about 25grand more than needed, but she had told us that everything in the house would stay, that she only had a few things to get out of the house, because she was living in Tennessee and didn’t need the stuff in the house. She said as soon as she had an offer on the house she would move. We thought it was an awesome deal. That was May 2nd.
For the entire month of May they strung us along. The agent started refusing to talk to me or mom, only talking to our signer. Well, he had to call her 3 or 4 times a DAY and leave repeated messages trying to get a hold of her. Well, he wound up only speaking to her once a week if that. Well, he was going to be in Alabama June 3rd -11th, so we agreed to do the closing, June 4th.
June 3rd rolls around, and he’s on the plane here. She FINALLY calls us, and then tells us that we are third party, and that it’s illegal for her to talk to us. (Wait, what?) Then she turns around and says she didn’t call us because she was afraid dad would answer. (Wait, didn’t you just say…?) Then she turns around and says that she has talked to the signer “everyday sometimes twice a day”, and that it would have been a conflict of interest to talk to us. (He’s just the signer; we’re living in the damned place). Then she tells us, that they had not planned on doing the signing until June 14th (after he goes home) and that the woman wasn’t going to move out of the house until July 19th because she had a eye surgery planned, then said that she wanted to give her employer a two-week notice (wait, wasn’t she living in another state already) AND that she needed to get movers to empty the house (wait, you said everything stayed). Then when mom says “we’re in the middle of packing, I’ve already told my husband I’m leaving him, things are getting tense here, we have to move NOW” the woman then says “well, why don’t you put all your stuff in storage and move in with your mother, you said she lives close to there.” Mom said “We have a 3 bedroom, 3 bath house, FULL of stuff; we cannot “store” it. She says “then why are you moving?” (facepalm) And then proceeds to tell us that we should have gotten our own agent, because she is the agent for the woman, not us. We told her, deals off. We’re tired of the lying.
So Jason gets in, and I tell him, we told her deals off; we’re not getting the house. He asks what happened. We tell him. He calls her. She tells him (and I can hear her now) that she has never spoken to us, ever. He turns to me and says “hey, she says she never talked to you!” She slams her words in reverse and says “well, I told them I’d put them up somewhere on my own dime, until the woman gets out of the house.” He kind of laughs and goes “oh really?” he turns to me and says “are you hearing this?” And she starts throwing out some other kinda BS that I’m laughing too hard to even hear by this point.
So we have to move anyway, we’re already packing. We took stuff to storage, filled it up and then bought a second storage, which are 100 a month each. And finally, my sister says we can move in with her. She saves $100 a week in day care because we’ll take care of her kid, and we can live there rent free.
Well, we managed to do some measure of relaxing, but mostly it was packing. Jason is my new boyfriend if I haven’t said that at some point before >.>
He was a total work horse. He got with my brother and they moved all the furniture out of us. And he paid for the storage and the trucks, and worked his little butt off.
I have the best boyfriend ever, mwuahaha and he’s all mine. Back off *snarl*
Anyhow, we found another house, the original house mom and I wanted, they had finally cleared it for market. The value of the house was $120,000 but they had it listed for 89,000. We put in a bid for 83,000 at the advice of our real estate agent. We waited, and packed.
June 9th, at about 10 pm, we were taking the entertainment center apart when I heard the most god awful noise coming from the ferret cage. I thought pinkie attacked munchie, but the noise was horrible. This screaming I’d never heard before. I looked in the cage, but pinkie was off to the side looking as confused as I was. I thought she was hung in the cage, so I yanked it apart and pulled her out, and I pulled the bedding from around her. She was folded over backwards, seizing and screaming. I straightened her out and held her and tried to calm her down. I got her quiet but the seizing wouldn’t stop. For over 30 minutes I tried to get her out of a seizure. Jason and I rushed her to the emergency vet. They got her stable but couldn’t get her to come around. Finally I made the choice to let her go
The next morning, we took her and pinkie to the vet to check out tux. They took munchie to do a necropsy, and looked at pinkie and took some blood for testing. Munchie had a tumor in her adrenal gland which was attached to a tumor in her pancreas. Munchie was 8 ½.
Pinkie came back clean for all the biggies, but he has dropped from a chubby 3 ¼ to 1.6 lbs. They think he has suspected heart failure, but they don’t know exactly. I have to get his weight back up before they can do further testing. So I’m stuffing him with baby food and kitty treats, all he will eat, and then some.
Well, after a call from our agent, we bumped up our offer on the house to 85,050. Well, Jason went home *cry* and we waited, and waited. And finally, last Friday we found out, we got the house
We won by 1000!! (Other people bid 84,050) *cheer
SO now we’re waiting on financing to go through (which should be no problem) and meanwhile I’m babysitting my sister’s kid, and trying to potty train her dog. (While they try to demand $100 a week from us for groceries… *grumble* some one is missing the point….)
Anyhow… there’s my life in the past 2 months. Good gravy help me.
