Blacks less over-represented in commercials now?

The last decade or so, blacks have been noticeably over-represented in advertising, especially on TV. My own observations had put them at roughly a third of the people in TV commercials in recent years, far ahead of their approximately 13% of the population.

Just today I noticed that this percentage seems to be in slight decline. According to my count on a couple of lengthy ad segments on a national program, blacks were perhaps 20% and also not as prominently featured at the start of ads as previously.

I'm curious what's going on with this.

I blame the home security advertisements...

They never show a black person robbing you, only white "thugs."

And those laundry soap commercials are always about making whites brighter. How has that worked out?

In Hollywood, there is never a movie scenario, story, or endeavor, that doesn't include all of the politically correct characterizations of minorities and women, along with subtle and overt disparagement of white males. This constant flood of liberal indoctrination contained in every movie and program is the primary reasons why they are failing at the box office. People buy tickets to be entertained not to sit and submit to a political indoctrination that insults their values and ignores history and reality.
