Hey all. I’m just trying to find somewhat plausible story ideas for how a character could blackmail a superheroine into sex, that have not been done to death. So, that rules out finding out and threatening to disclose their identity to the world, or threatening to physically harm their loved ones, etc

Ideas with slight suspension of disbelief required are welcome.

Like you'd want to get within arms reach of a super hero that you're blackmailing. What's wrong with a good old fashioned seduction? So that she's actually into it?

I like those stories too. But I just happen to be looking for ideas for this type. Granted, I’m more a fan of (initial blackmail, turns consensual) vs the ongoing noncon types.

Maybe a comprising situation? Caught out doing something way off character and team brand?

BIg anti drug hero who likes to drink and get way too high? Maybe this helps them get cleaned up?

Is the hero completely solo, or does she have ties to other people or organizations? How’s she pay the bills? What does she do - hobbies, charity if any, good/bad habits, powers/weaknesses? Is the blackmailer skilled at getting info in one or more ways or did they just get lucky? Is the blackmailer powered or normal? Are there other people/organizations involved ‘behind the scenes’ which aren’t immediately evident to either the hero, blackmailer or both? Any MacGuffins laying about that’ll complicate the scenario?

On top of all that there’re the typical questions on blackmail - what’s the hero willing & unwilling to do and what’s the blackmailer willing to threaten? Etc…

Doxing them or threatening their loved ones seem like time-honored tropes, but I can see thinking they are too obvious.

Maybe the blackmailer has a way of completely disabling her super powers, permanently. He could be a mad scientist, or someone from her home planet/island/dimension who knows things about her physiology that nobody else does.

As @robroy pointed out, getting close enough to have sex would also put you at her mercy, so the disabling method has to be rigged up to some sort of "dead man switch" so she can't just throttle you in mid-fuck.

Perhaps if there was a way that threatened loved ones that DIDNT involve violence, I’d be more down for it. Like for example, let’s say the superheroine is a fugitive in the eyes of the law (let’s say the if they’re an otherworldly or mythical land-based superhero, the government passed a bill banning them from the USA, and public opinion is against them). Perhaps the blackmailer gets footage of her friends and loved ones “harboring a fugitive/terrorist/alien etc etc etc” and threatens to release it to the press and authorities.

My thoughts are yes, there has to be a deadman switch of some kind sending that info out. Or; the footage can only be erased /be prevented from being sent out at a certain time/date, a time long after their Rendevous is finished, so the heroine can’t just torture info out of him/kill him.

Things that are "done to death" are because it works. Its not always wise to reinvent the wheel. Though I did a story years back that could easily had I swapped some of the characters been a good blackmail story. Its basically Joker captures Gordon and Batgirl and forces them together not knowing they are related. When he finds out he's to busy laughing to do anything but let them go but someone like Dr. Strange would have been able to use that to an advantage.

all I have to add is that I always wanted Supergirl to hook up with Lena Luther....mmmmm

Now I'm curious what a Lena Luthor is and hoping like hell its not that Supergirl show I only watched when it crossed over with Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Cus I don't really want to dive in there too deep to know how she operates.

it is that show. Lena is Lex's sister, who takes over running Luther Corp after Lex is disgraced, tries to run it legit. Played by a very succulent actress.

Threatening something the hero cares about or trapping them with their specific kryptonite would be the obvious choices - not that there's anything wrong with that. In the end, at some level most stories have been told before - it's the telling that you do that makes the difference.
Other options...
  • Appealing to a hidden aspect of their past (deliberately/accidentally) that suddenly triggers an epiphany for them
  • Bribery... depending on how goody-goody the hero is, and what is on offer.
  • Putting out such a good supervillain monologue that the hero finds themselves buying into it, and perhaps even switching sides.
  • With more power comes more responsibility - a significant upgrade, in return for significant subjugation - it's for the greater good, right?

I'd like to read what you come up with though.

I saw the crossover episodes and I think I saw her and she is attractive no doubt. I just don't have anything I could build on personality wise for her. Most DC characters are so established you can kinda put them together or in some cases "who cares" Like we could write novels on Joker and how much range the character brings one way or another. I've been meaning to watch Supergirl (though it looked like crap and was always mandatory watching in crossovers, not something I wanted to do) but maybe adding it to things I'm aware of would be a good thing.

Expanding on this, what if she has an America’s Sweetheart-type public persona, but secretly is a sex addict. Her dark secret is that she stays in contact with the (depending on the story/character’s orientation) every man, woman, couple, or adult family she saves, eventually seducing them. Basically, her entire supporting cast is Jimmy Olson’s and Karen Paige’s that she’s fucking.

Blackmailer is threatening to out the secret, but because he’s not threatening violence against her family (i.e., he’s not *that* bad/unreformable a villain, compared to others), you have more choices on how story with him can resolve.

He could get his (X-rated) comic book comeuppance after blackmailing her for sex (goes to jail, after he gets his memory wiped by some super-science tech or maybe amnesia after getting linked in head so her secret remains safe).

Or it could become a romance with the blackmailed sex transforming them both (realizes he was wrong and vows to help her stop other sexstortionists; she’s finally found a pervert she can share her secret with, etc.).

Or she breaks him with her sexuality, turning him into another of her supporting-cast sex slaves.

Blackmail ideas - assuming kryptonite is off the table as even more cliche than outing the hero.
Rather than threaten violence, threaten to disgrace their loved ones, hurt their careers, expose their dirty little secrets.
Or, go full Dr Evil and hide a nuclear warhead in an undisclosed metropolis, and threaten to detonate it unless you are given one million doll... or whatever kinky sex stuff you want.
Or, threaten to have HBO produce a prime time, GOT style reboot of Saved by the Bell.
Wage a war on beauty by adding elements of a deadly toxin to various beauty products so that, in the wrong combination, they become lethal.
Hack the nav computers of every plane in the air or oil tanker at sea or Ford on the road. Make things crash.
If she's a heroic heroine, threats to strangers can be compelling.

For my Kryptonian thread the idea was that the villain made a deal with the heroine, he would give up robbing banks if she agreed to be his sex slave. If she quit submitting he would take up his life of crime again. Of course, if he took up crime again, he would lose his fuck toy. We didn't actually get to the agreement when we were writing it, but it was the premise of the thread.

I think that a way to twist things would be to have the blackmailer not know they are blackmailing a superheroine. They start by blackmailing their secret identity and then find out later who they are.

For example: let’s say our superheroine has a job at a tech firm and one time they had to use a custom program at that company to launch a technobabble solution to a supervillain. This fried a lot of computers. She kept it under wraps but the security guard caught her on film and decides to blackmail her, threatening to expose her involvement in the “sabotage”

wanting to keep her civilian job, she agrees to the blackmail.

Then you could take it a few ways from there:

A. blackmail gets to the point where they are about to have sex and our heroine gets a call that the city is in trouble. Despite the threats of blackmail she still goes. Guard realizes how shitty they’ve been, deletes the evidence, and then sees the superheroine in their apartment, in full outfit, ready to pick things back up, believing guard already knew.

B. Superheroine realizes guard doesn’t know her secret identity and since she’s a hero she can’t squish them like a bug. She reluctantly goes along with it and then starts taking some joy from it as people who know her secret and try to date her are very meek around her, while the guard is pretty bold but doesn’t try to increase the blackmail.

Could be extra fun if she has super strength and other physical abilities and uses them to effectively take charge while pretending to be submissive.

C. Superheroine thinks guard knows her secret and has connections to the supervillain she beat (guard can make vague statements she misinterprets) . She complied with the blackmail hoping to find out more.

If you start with the supe’s secret ID being blackmailed, there’s lots of interesting thing which could happen.
Mind control & telepathy are two power sets which would likely reverse the blackmail awful quickly, however, not sure how such a super could be effectively blackmailed without a MacGuffin or at least an incredibly effective plot on the blackmailer’s side

If it has to be secret identity and we still want to keep with OPs preference for start as blackmail noncon move to a real relationship, you would probably need to set some rules

1. Heroine probably needs to be an original character. Like any DC hero could just tip off oracle and have the matter taken care of lickity split. Marvel could potentially do it but a lot of superheroines there actually have their identities known. I will suggest a DC option further down but easiest way this to must come up with a new superheroine.

2. Heroine needs to be traditionally heroic. Cause even someone who is barely an anti-hero would probably have no problem bashing their blackmailer’s face in. Heroine needs to be someone who, if the villain is at all sympathetic, would lend them an ear. Like they’re disgusted by the initial blackmail but if our villain needs help and is willing to turn over a new leaf, they will help them and be open to a relationship.

3. Villain can’t be too evil with the weight of the blackmail: they shouldn’t relish what the blackmail could do or who could get hurt. If it’s gonna turn into an actual relationship you can’t have the villain be too evil. Instead, they should take glee in just the terms of the blackmail (and it shouldn’t just be demanding sex from the start)

So with that being said, if you want it to be a blackmail over secret identities, and for it to evolve to a real relationship, I could see it working.

Here is an example or two I could think of:

1. Someone who knew them in high school, maybe they were even their arch villain back then. They put together the pieces and blackmail them. Our heroine has to do humiliating things and eventually has sex with them but reveals she knew the whole time or she’s even gone ahead and revealed her identity to everyone that mattered. She’s here because she wants to know the villain’s reason.

Reasons could be: 1. Villain has always loved her (this can also be a factor in the other two) Maybe they even dated and when she left they were stuck in their small town.

2. Villain is a small timer. They never moved past the rivalry they had with her. They wanted her to snap and beat them up like the last time so they could feel some of the adrenaline they used to

3. The heroine “died” back in the day and the villain was traumatized. Maybe they thought they even did it. Heroine either faked it or got brought back through comics BS and Villain couldn’t process it at the time and her coming back only made the trauma worse, so they lashed out.

Heroine gets them to give up and delete the evidence but agrees to a consensual relationship.

Version 2: villain is really ineffectual. Heroine is more amused by the blackmail or it would do such little damage (like if wonder woman got blackmailed: she rarely uses her Diana Prince persona anymore so she wouldn’t be out a whole lot) she decides to play along just to see how far the blackmailer will go. Blackmailer is flummoxed by her going along with it and eventually deletes it himself with superheroine playing along just cause she finds it so fun.

If you wanted to use a licensed character version 2 is probably the way to go.

One HUGE! thought I have that gets me jacking is, if one of our son's friends, their late 20's to mid 30's even found my wife's naked pictures we have. I have a shoe box with like over 50 real slutty pictures of my wife, real slutty. I have a lot of jacking off fantasies about some of these son's friends fucking my wife, their friends late 50's mom. So, WOW! just to imagine one of them or a couple of them finding their friends mom naked slutty pictures. I get off so hard thinking of those big rock hard 27 to 35yo cocks fucking their friend's mom's hairy old pussy sore. She and I will do anything to get those pictures back. So maybe they turn the husband / friend's dad into a cleanup cuckold for a couple of their son's friends. Of cause more would have to be added to make it into a good hot blackmail / cuckold story.

Unless the sex plays into the very thing that they're blackmailing about, I'd have a hard time believing it.

Like, alright, she captures the badguys, and when they're tied up, she gets a little rapey. One lone guard hiding off in the corner gets his cell phone out and records some juicy footage, which he immediately uploads to the cloud.

She's already into the Power Play/Bondage type dynamic, so she's already inclined to go along with a blackmail scenario---which is just another kind of power play.

Or, maybe it's a comedy where the Superheroine keeps purposefully getting "captured" by a weak villain--maybe they both have a repressed crush on one another. To keep going with that idea, maybe a better villain finds evidence of this, and then it becomes this whole thing where Superheroine and the weak villain are beholden to the better villain.

I guess to me, the blackmail goes right along with power play kinks, which seem like something she's already need to be into for them to work plausibly.
