I like the idea of her being a working woman. It seems like too many blackmail stories are about teens and getting in trouble with parents or something their friends would find out. It is harder to think of something that an grown adult would take so seriously that they would agree to the blackmail. I'm not sure if these fall into that catagory or not but this is what came to mind quickly:
