Here's a topic for debate: be it resolved that if the Vixen Group created a race-swapped version of Blacked/BlackedRaw (White male actors fucking Black female actresses in a franchise called "Bleached") that it would be commercially successful: Yes, it likely would / Neutral / No, it likely wouldn't.

For clarity, here are some general points:
  • Let's assume that the hypothetical "Bleached" franchise is nearly identical to Blacked/BlackedRaw in all other aspects: same budget, same production values, same marketing efforts, same exotic shooting locations, same sex acts, same everything except for the races of the performers.
  • This hypothetical franchise doesn't have to be AS successful as Blacked/BlackedRaw, that's unlikely; it just has to be financially successful in its own right.
  • The popularity of interracial porn, specifically between Black men and White women, is undoubtedly a product of America's fraught history of race relations, and so the particular appeal of seeing hypersexual Black men laying hands on milky-skinned White women may or may not translate into demand for a race-swapped version of this dynamic.
  • There's also a chicken & egg question here: do the high production values of Blacked/BlackedRaw drive their popularity, or does the popularity of this particular racial pairing justify the high production values? There's probably a virtuous (or vice-filled) cycle here, but if that's true, then the same may (or may not) be true if it were race-swapped.
So, what are your thoughts?

If you browse the General Board here on LitE, you can find the thread of "White Women with Black Men" which started in 2018 and has over 1M views. There is also a thread for "White Men liking Black Women" started in 2021 with 30k views.

So, based on the annual average of views of those two threads, the White Women/Black Men thread seems ten times as popular.

Now it could be a matter of marketing, possibly changing the wording to something like "White Men dominating Black Women" to alter the statistics. But IMO, the given trope of Black Male with White Female has proven the test of time as the only commercially viable option for its own category of porn websites.

That's one vote for "no".

When you set the assumption of "all other aspects: same budget, same production values, same marketing efforts, same exotic shooting locations, same sex acts, same everything except for the races ..." those are all costs which must be recouped from sales to make it commercially viable.

In any well-run business (including porn), there are market studies done when looking to expand the business product offerings. When the study returns say "You won't earn enough to cover the costs," then the business decisionmakers don't invest in further product development.

You stated in the beginning, " it would be commercially successful: Yes, it likely would / Neutral / No, it likely wouldn't."

So, in my own way, I used the General Board to do the initial overview study to base my answer: "No, it likely wouldn't."

EDIT: I may be a shitty author. But I do have an MBA and know of first conducting market studies for product development.

I'm going to also vote "no" and point out that BWC's in black pussies doesn't push the same buttons as BBC's in white pussies. This is probably the only thing which makes your general-point #3 not "equal" with regard to black men vs. black women and why it does not translate.

I agree with Lifestyle's analysis, and based on that analysis would vote "no." My general view of the porn market is that there's a market for almost everything if you know how to exploit it, and I imagine there's a market for flipped race porn of the kind you are describing, but if you factor in equal production methods and costs it might very well not be profitable, and I get the sense porn is barely profitable anyway because of market saturation and competition.

It's not because there isn't an appreciation for beautiful, sexy black porn stars. I think there is. But for cultural, and historical reasons the fantasy doesn't work the same way for enough people when you flip the races. That's my sense.

I think there would definitely be a market for it - Dogfart, for instance, has a 'We Fuck Black Girls' channel, but the views in there aren't remotely close to their other stuff. It would definitely be a niche thing, but it would probably never compete with Blacked, for all the reasons Life and Simon pointed out.

If they put as much money into it as they do Blacked, I think they'd probably lose money on that, but in the end, good porn is good porn, so if the actors are hot and the scenes are solid, they could probably at least compete with regular stuff. But I don't think it would remotely approach the appeal Blacked has.

I think that the Vixen Media Group has the "Bleached" concept covered in several videos on their various sites:

I'm not trying to move the goalposts, but I suppose you could relax the assumption about exotic shooting locations. I bet Vixen Group actually owns the California mansions where they shoot many of their scenes, so that would save on the cost of renting shooting locations and of flying to and filming in cities like Budapest.

But based on the analysis provided above, it seems that would move the needle from "seriously loss-making" to "slightly loss-making" or maybe "barely breaking even". The market outlook apparently doesn't look good for a hypothetical "Bleached".

Don't forget about Black Valley Girls! It's basically what you're talking about, isn't it? Maybe not so much on the gangbang front.

I guess the name makes a difference too; Blacked and Bleached both imply a focus on the woman being overwhelmed or changed by the experience, probably her first of the kind. Black Valley Girls just implies fun loving girls who happen to be black and enjoy sex with mostly white guys. It's a different vibe. And yes, the 'overwhelmed and changed' vibe specifically doesn't seem to make quite as much sense with a black woman experiencing a white man, just because of the stereotypes in our society. So no, if that specific vibe is required. But yes, if it's just about white guys with black girls.

The difference is, according to a friend who knows, most of the women in the Bleached (and Bleached Raw) franchise are white. To be a true comparable, the recipient should be any race but Caucasian. Not that me or any lesbian has any dog in this race.

I think you meant "most of the women in Blacked and BlackedRaw" are White. This is why the hypothetical franchise of Bleached would be overwhelmingly Black (or other non-White) women having sex with White male performers and almost everything else being the same in order to make it a viable comparison.

You want the truth ? Strike 3 the holding company for GL Web Media owner of the Vixen Media group owner of Blacked etc .....They will tell you that a scene with a Black girl and white man has 1/3 the views and even less engagement and that is NOT USA only ...it's worldwide.

Black girls don't sell nearly as well in porn .... weirdly Alexis Tae sells well ....

Now Vixen media group is NOT a porn company .... it's a lawsuit company these days

https://www.latimes.com/business/st...rike 3 Holdings is a,has been called the porn

No, I know that Blacked is primarily white. However, Bleached is also mostly white women. It should still be interracial to be on the same wavelength as Blacked. So it isn't at all the same kind of vibe. Just white boys fucking white women, according to a friend of mine.

Isn't that just Vixen? Same quality shit without the Black dudes? That post you showed looks like low rent gonzo trash porn

I don't know what it is. I didn't watch it. I opened it to get a screen cap. But it is a franchise like Blacked, and, according to one that watches this shit, it is precisely like Blacked but made for redneck boys. Which he is!

The themes tend to shift over time. Like Blacks on Blondes, it ended up being all women, no matter the hair color.

It’s nothing like blacked … blacked has a budget about 3000 times that …. Very high quality production

Trends suddenly take off sometimes, but as others have said, if white male black female could be as popular as black male white female somebody would already be doing it (to a greater extent than they already are)

For myself, I have always been attracted to 'exoticism' - that is to say as a Brit a Russian ballerina or an all-American cowgirl are more attractive to me that 'the girl next door' and that also translates into a fetish for interracial porn of all stripes (although 'different race from me' is more important than 'different race from each other'). Back when porn still came on DVDs I was definitely interested in a lot of the black themed ones. And I'm also bisexual enough to be aware that I'm enoying some of the male peformers just as much as I am the female ones.

Last year I wrote a couple of jokey stories around the topics of IR cuckolding and the Queen of Spades phenomenon. (I'm not going to claim either quite rises to the level of a satire nor am I going to deny an interest in those kinks). I found it interesting that there's is also a Queen of Hearts equivalent for White Male Asian Female that works along pretty much the same dynamics as the QoS stuff just with races flipped and I've also been seeing more WMAF stories (with AM cuckold) that repeat a lot of the same insecurities as BBC stories do. I haven't got time to write more at the moment, but it's kind of interesting the way in which the QoS/QoH stuff is at least framing the kink as female empowerment to act on their own sexual preferences. (...even with all we know about your point about American race relations).

I don't think you could simply flip the races and achieve a one to one equivalence. For one thing, someone would have done it by now. For another, we simply do not hold the same social assumptions about black men fucking white women as we do white men fucking black women, and those assumptions are a big part of why black man/white woman porn is so popular.

Weirdly enough, there was a time in proper Hollywood movies when white man/black woman romances were way more common than the other way around.
