Black jokes (not racist)

What do you call a black man in the cockpit of an airplane?

The pilot!

:D
What do you call a black man in the white house?

The president of the United States!

FYI, "my best friend is black" is no proof that you're not racist. Just saying.

For the record this was not my idea,
You completed it. Id say whether it was yours "first" or not is rather immaterial.

The "Im not a racist" thing is just as ridiculous.

Im not a racist. Most people here arent (tho we have a Texan who's under suspicion :p)

And those people arent motivated to type it out as there's no reason for it to be in question.

Something to consider.

True I agree. When people say i'm not racist they typically are. Using the friend defense is prettly week. I laugh at all racial jokes these are things our circle of friends do as jokes.

I don't mean to breach political corectness or spark hate speach. The stuff on the sight was just funny from a universal standpoint.

Im just as offended that you found it funny.

And universally so? Fire a quick email to the NAACP and ask their thoughts on them,

They're part of the universe. Surely theyll think it funny.

I didnt even crack a wry smile.

The interesting thing is that we are who we are behind these Ipad's and laptops. Who we are can be anybody. That anybody background and anybody experience can make us look at things differently than others.

Well, no that doesn't necessarily follow. Racisim is in what they actually do, not in a disclaimer or lack of one. The disclaimer can be true. Apples and kumquats.

If anything i'm glad that I got the response that I did. I feel increasingly more compfortable in the AH than I did in the GB.

I'm not making exuses to get out of what I did. I'm glad I got called out on it.

Ok internet Socrates.

If you troll on the internet as a racist, you're still a racist. Just one whos too cowardly to live what he preaches.

And "part time" racism or playing a role online is stupid as well.

Adults have better things to do with their time.

And LadyC just spanked me for being racist. A double-standard here.

Okay.

Interesting and although I agree saying "I'm not racist" doesn't mean for sure they are, sometimes if they stress it over and over it can make you wonder.

Something I've noticed a lot of people do-and many I would not consider racist- is they will say something like,

"So I have this black friend" Or "so bill, who's black..." or it could be Asian or hispanic. or even "a gay friend"

I never understood needing to add the adjective to friend.

I don;t have black or Asian or Hispanic or female or lesbian or gay friends.

I just have friends.

This makes me think of something that happened a year or so ago. I never considered my mother racist. But last year we were talking about things from a few years ago and I brought up the woman I had dated before I met my wife.

I said her name and my mother rolls her eyes and said "Wasn't that that black girl you were seeing?" and with utter disdain, guess you never know sometimes.

The stuff on a white supremacy site was funny from a universal standpoint?

What universe is that?

I follow you. I think sometimes though its simply to make the person look more multicultural which is part of the definition of the new "modern"

Having multicultural friends can be as silly as having an iphone or knowing about a youtube clip. Its wanting to "fit in" especially when its older v. younger generations speaking.

I did hear a great quote on election night though "For younger generations being gay is like being left handed, different but not the big deal it once was"

Was it accurate, no. But it would be cool if we managed to get there re: race, sex, religion, etc etc

The GB? Ugh some of them act racist to see who'll join in then ambush them for being racist. It's crazy over there.

Fun porn threads though.

Maybe we could just let this thread sink into the mire as not having been the best idea(?)

But . . . but . . . some of my best friends are stupid threads.

Topically but otherwised differently abled threads.

Asshole.

(funny touche you had there. I chuckled far more at it than the jokes.)
