Even though the total amount of matter that exists in the collective mass of all the black holes in the universe is a small minority of matter, that matter does matter.
Without the matter that exists in black holes the universe would drift apart. Therefore it is clear that the matter in black holes has a unifying effect on the entire universe.
It is easy for us to ignore black holes because they can not be seen in the realm of white light. Recently I heard a blurb in the science news that a method was created to be able to "see" black holes.
Since black holes matter and there are now pictures available I thought I would start this thread as a place to post links for pictures of black holes.
Black holes are spread throughout the universe. I am not sure how many have been probed but this would be a great place for a penetrating look at these wonders of nature.
