1. When attacked, I will defend my integrity. If I have done no wrong, then I have no reason not to defend myself.
2. I will pursue an issue only so long as my integrity, or the integrity of others, is in question. Once I have completed that goal, I will let the issue drop.
3. I will not attack. I will disagree and I may defend myself when needed, but I will not attack.
4. I will not use any information about an individual's personal life against them, nor will I reveal any information that they have conveyed to me in private.
5. I will not assume for one moment that because someone is well liked, has a sizable post count, or has been here longer then myself, that this person has a right to attack me or my integrity.
6. I will defend others at my own discretion. I will not break these rules in the defense of others. I will not defend those who do not also adhere to these rules of conduct.
7. If I am wrong, I admit it. If I am wrong in public, I will admit my mistake publicly.
8. Everybody makes mistakes. I am quick to forgive so that when it is my time to apologize I may get the same.
These are the rules I am adhering to from this point forward. I will not judge those who disagree with the way I conduct myself, nor will argue over this. These are the eight rules I am placing upon myself.
Please do not reply to this post telling me that you agree with my stance or wish to adopt it for your own; if you truly have adopted this philosophy, it will be evident in the way you conduct yourself.
Thank You.
