black beans and ham

there's more ham for later. it's on the stove. i need to chop up lots of tomatoes. there's also spinach and white squash. maybe allspice. needs pepper.

I once made fried black bean fritters with a mint dipping sauce. It was very good, and easy. I just mashed up the beans, added some spices (at your discretion, though cumin is necessary) and shallow fried them. You can use all types of beans, though some are better than others.

no yogurt. :( when i go to the store, i'll pick some up. there is always cumin on hand.

Be sure not to stir too hard. That loosens the yogurt, unless it has artificial binders. Actually, most store bought does. Home-made is good, and very easy.

If you need to come here to finish your entree, please do not invite me to dinner. Not that you would anyway:rolleyes:

Dry mustard.

Got milk? Make some yogurt.

i've never made yogurt. i want to learn.

one day i will learn the fine art of yogurt.

Again, Jesus, stupid people.

go be pissy somewhere else.

Nice attempt to be only a partial racist piece of shit.

don't quote it!

A dash or seasoned salt, beer (dark wheat beer if we have it), and some dried habanero (sp?) flakes.

dried habanero sounds good.

the beans are still hard. they've been cooking for 8 hours. soaked overnight. the ham is stringy. *sigh* bean fail. the broth tastes good.
