When I give or receive oral sex, I don't use any protection. I usually know the person well enough to know they are "clean". With actual sex, I do use protection for obvious reasons. But with oral sex, I don't use protection. Not because I'm not worried, but because if you can't trust the person, why would you put your mouth on their genitals in the first place?

This is a very valid question. Disease can be spread through vaginal fluids as easily as through semen.

That's a great question. Personally I like to get to know a person well enough before either one of us goes down.

But for those people wondering about protection for going down on a woman--it's called a dental dam. It's also made out of latex and is in the shape of a square. They can also be made out of condoms by cutting off the tip and then cutting it lengthwise. Just make sure to rinse it off if it's not lubricated (the powder isn't to spiffy) and also if there's nonoxynol-9 on it. Usually dental dams are flavored. Putting some lubrication on the side touching the receiver would be a wise idea too.
