So I Got My Lip Pierced January 24th, 2013. Never Been With Anyone Till I Met My Boyfriend On February 6th, 2013.. I Still Have The Original Stud In That They Give You For When Your Lip Swells. Meaning It's A Longer Stud Then The One's You Would Change It Into After A While.. I've Tried Changing It Into A Smaller Stud, But My Lip Is Still To Swelled For That (No Idea Why) .. Anyway, Since Its A Longer Stud, It Sticks Out Farther Than Usual, And When Giving A BJ The Stud Stucks In Cause.. Yea.. >//< Well He Tells Me When It Scraps Him And That It Hurts So Much.. Makes Me Sad When He Tells Me..
Advice On What To Do, Or How To Change This? I Hate Honestly Hurting Him When Doing This.

Three choices
1. Get a new boyfriend
2. Lose the stud (not talking about the boyfriend)
3. Tell him all good things come to those who wait

Get some advice asap about the continued swelling - it could get worse.

be warned - sperm getting into a lip piercing will cause the following

One thing at a time.

Forget the blow jobs for now. Heal the piercing. Initial swelling should last 3-5 days, not over a month. No tobacco, no booze, sea salt soaks rock.

If you're unwilling to do this, retire the piercing...you had no business getting it in the first place.

Learn to spell, punctuate, and capitalize properly.

It's been over a month; you should be healed by now. If your lip is still swelling, it could be infected or you could be allergic to the stud. You might want to consider seeing a doctor.

If it's infected, warm salt water, an antiseptic mouthwash and neosporin (on the outside of your lip) may help. If it's an allergy, replace it with a hypoallergenic stud that doesn't contain nickel.

It's hard to say what's wrong without looking at it, but something is definitely wrong. It shouldn't be swelling this long. Really do consider seeing a health care professional about it though.

And I agree with the PP. No blow jobs until it's healed properly.

Yeah!!! and BeachMomma is a nurse, so there

actually pay attention to what she said... go to your GP and get advice about the swelling - if it is still there after a month - you need to get it checked out.

tell your boyfriend to keep being a tosser :) - well for a while yet

I think the most important thing to address is your use of capital letters. While I'm often annoyed by people who use all caps or none, you have found a very rare medium. You use caps on every word, but not the entire word. Now, that gets points for originality. But it still hurts my brain. I would fix this behaviour first. Then I'd concern myself with the lip ring.

Edited to add: I'm just having a go here, no actual harm meant.

I think a lip ring is better :) Then it doesn't scrape as it's smooth. If you've only had the piercing for a month try not to change it too much as this does cause swelling if you are constantly taking it in and out before it has had time to heal properly. I had both sides of my lip done (snakebites) but one side had been pierced for about a year before the other side was done and at the time I was playing Ladies Football and had to take them out every weekend for games so the new lip piercing was swollen and sore and eventually I had to go back to just one lip piercing. So try and leave it alone but like I said a lip ring will work far better ;) And take Beachmomma's advice and rinse your mouth in salt water atleast twice a day!! Good luck :)

Im thinking i should of given better details.. i keep in contact with my piercing and im always looking things up online. i no im not allergic cause i have other piercings. my tongue is pierced and i took great care of that. it only swells a little when i take it out to change it cause i irritate it.
i brush my teeth every morning and night, and i mouthwash and sea soak.
and i understand i shouldnt be doing this, and it seems like everyone was off the subject anyway.. but thanks

thank you for understanding. thats why it swells for me. i had issues with it at first when i got it, the ball kept unscrewing itself so it would swell some with that, it still unscrews itself till this day. but taking it out causes it.
my tongues pierced so i always clean my mouth.
but thank you :)

Wrong.

If your posts were easy to read, it wouldn't have been mentioned to begin with. If you want people to take the time to offer considered advice, take the time to put equal care into what you write.

~* As i find it rather weird and practically annoying that people are complaining about my caps on everything, its just the way i create my first thread posts. i picked it up from someone i used to date.. its not that big of a deal, and the fact is your the first to complain about it.. -_-" *~

no actually i am not. if you no how to read then you can read it with ease. its not some "mind fuck" and it doesnt take a genies to read it.
but hey thanks for your advice on this topic, go complain somewhere else where the people actually care about your complaints.

My tongue is pierced too but I rarely change the stud but I know from my lip piercing that it takes a long time to properly heal and the more you touch it or pull at it the worse it will get. I would go to a reputable piercing shop and try a surgical steel lip ring the piercer will be able to size the lip ring for you and put it in if you need them too :)

I'd give up the Bj's atm until you sort your lip out :)

Yea, i got a little annoyed this last time, so im getting ready to change it into a hoop hopefully saturday. my piercer said he is willing to change it for me. :)
but thank you for your time :)

I got my first body piercing before you were born. Now, you can blow me off if you want to, or you can listen to the voice of experience. At one month, no piercing is fully healed. You're treating it like it is, and that's likely the cause of your problem. Baby it. Give it love and respect. Don't change the jewelry. Finally, don't fuck with it. These things take time.

I'm the only one to have complained? Someone needs to work on her reading comprehension. Does post #4 ring a bell for you?

This name of this site is LIT-erotica - heavy emphasis on LIT. Since the single mode of communication here is the written word, the manner in which you compose your messages is absolutely going to be important.

Take my advice or not. Just don't be surprised when you continue to get flak over it (and you will). Here's another piece of advice: We don't tell you what you want to hear, we tell you what we really think.

Yes, irritation will cause an inflammatory response also. It hasn't healed completely; if it had, you wouldn't be having problems. I'd still check with a doctor or even ask a good piercer for advice. It may just need to be left undisturbed for a while to give it time to heal.

Good luck.

(Actual advice coming)

The mouth is a filthy place. Even if you mouthwash and brush regularly, within moments, it's back to being a pool for germs and bacteria to have fun. So, while brushing and flossing and all that are important, they don't really stop all bacteria from having a blast.

i dont try to annoy them, just the ball keeps falling off so when it does my lip is left irritated.
and i do baby it. i had it last night tho, i changed it from the stud to a hoop cause the ball kept falling off. it was pissing me off.
but thank you

nice mis reading there.. it wasnt pointed at YOU, it was pointed to those who are complaining on THIS thread. i have other threads and other posts and nobody has complained till now.
and im rather surprised at the fact that your not complaining that LIT is all cap..
and no im rather looking for advice, but complaining about how someone types isnt advice, its just annoying people complaining cause they have nothing better to do.

very appreciative for the advice. im going to send my piercer a message now about the irritation im having.
i tried to change it to a smaller stud last night cause i lost the ball to my piercing stud, but it doesnt "fit" i cant put the end on.
i had to change it last night to a hoop cause thats all i have and i cant afford to keep tightening and putting the stud back in. just annoys it more
