They all look like cookies to me! :D

Cookie schmookie....go to the back of the class.

We do of course have cookies...and I eat too many of them...but cookies are a specific type of biscuit.

A biscuit is usually harder, smaller, and could be eaten in one bite if you wanted to.

A cookie would be larger, softer and take a few chomps to consume.

An Oreo is a biscuit......for example (although as it is an American product...they'd call it a cookie)

An Oreo is a biscuit??? No No No!
Biscuits have little to no sugar ... cookies are sweet and delicious! That's the difference! ;)

Just like this... this has Nasta on packaging. To me that means Nasty biscuit and I probably wouldn't want to buy it.

Here's another one that is kind of funny when you think about it. Chevrolet built a car called Nova. in some parts of the world, The word Nova in Spanish meant No Go, so they had to change the name to sell it there lol. It's all the same, just a different word.;)

As for American products, we just normally call it a hard cookie or soft and chewy cookie. But I do understand what you are saying Jack. I lived in Spain for 3 1/2 years.

Look lady...(meant in a jokey, very friendly, inoffensive manner)...we had the 'biscuit' first....and they are sweet or savoury treats that are small and hard.

Your 'biscuits' are what we would call a 'scone'.....(see image)

Digestive on that cookie? Makes it sound like something for constipation Jack. Bourbon sounds like it was made from alcohol
