Releasing a serial rapist due to procedural errors is not justice. There are many similar and worse cases. We don't have a justice system. We have a semilegal system with arbitrarily enforced laws.
He's still a rapist. The court didn't say he didn't rape anyone, just that the he couldn't be charged because the DA agreed to not charge him if he spoke the truth at his depositions. A criminal conviction is a high bar. There wasn't enough evidence to convict him, so they went after him civilly. The victims wanted jail time and I understand it, but they've been vindicated. He admitted under oath to sexually assaulting them. Additionally, it wasn't a procedural issue, it was a due process issue. That's why the court couldn't look the other way. It was a big deal.
