Hello Ukin, just had to stop in and say you are right here. I have been riding on Harleys for over 7 years now. yes its not my own, but that will change real soon....Whoever believe that Harley Riders are bad, just really don't know what truly good kind hearted people most are. We are always having bike runs to raise money for good causes, and just the love of riding to feel free, no words can explain it....We go to most biker's week.....which in a few weeks will be going to Lake George, for Americade, Then off to New Hampishire for Laconia .......and let me tell you those are the best time , just being around all who have the same love....I will try to download the bike I always ride on.... Ohhh I did just go for my license.....and road classes and will be getting one of my own, someone special to me...told me to pick out what ever one I wanted and it is mine...Ahhhh isn't life just grand;) .....A good day to all, I will be posting more in this thread..........:rose: :D

Trice...hi Sis. Thanks for posting and also for the words of wisdom. Sadly, as you well know, we aren't really seen by the non biker community as kind and caring. They don't understand just how much money we do raise on Charity runs and the good we do at the Toy For Tots Runs at Christmas time. All they seem to see is "bad boys and girls" on loud machines blocking the roads.

Good luck on your test Sis and choose a good bike...a LowRider?

Keep posting, we need a Thread like this to meet fellow bikers.

G'day UKIN nice to see a bikers thread on LIT.

I disobeyed my doctors & bought another bike as the NOT HAVING one drove me nuts......the sad part is I've gone from a 1000cc to a 250cc Honda Spacey:eek: Oh the shame of it, had to buy a new helmet too as the old black open face just didn't fit the new ride so got a full face to hide in so my buddies don't know it's me.

Keep ya knees in the breeze.

Hi everyone.Well I just talked the wife into agreeing to me getting a bike after 20 years of not having one.
It is really funny how things have changed in 20 years.I find that I am much more cautious now that I am older.I think of what if's all the time.Like where I live there are tons of deer that run across the road all the time. Now in my younger days I wouldn't have given it a thought and would have rode the bike 90 MPH in the early morning. Now that I am older I think ,what if a deer runs into me at 60 what is going to happen to me.Plus I think of all the people who don't look real hard and don't see you and pull out and hit bikers.
But you know what; it is like sex you don't forget how to do it and it is still a real blast to ride.Even got the wife on it which surprised me.(She was the one to encourage me to sell my old bike years ago).

Hiya Gil mate. I know the feeling about not having one...mine is at the painters and it's killing me to be without one!
Don't worry about the size...it's the 2 wheels that count my Bro...at least you are riding!

Rubber side down.

77..welcome.

Details friend...details of the scoot!

If a deer hits you at 60...you'll be fucked lol. A Bro of mine totalled his Harley and spent 4 weeks in the hospital.
If you live in a very populated deer area...I would suggest you look at installing the DEER ALARM that is available....and yes, I have been told that they do work.
It's a sad thing tht cagers (car drivers) pull out on us. We have to be alert at all times...it happend to me 3 weeks ago. Shit happens.

On my trip to Canada & the US in 1995 I met a guy in my first week who had a run in with a deer then while chatting to him another truck pulled up also with the front wrecked & both swore that DEER WHISTLES or ALARMS had to be fitted so as soon as I bought my Camper van I fitted the things & although I had a few close calls I never hit one so either my luck was in or they do work.

In the wind.
