Biden will drop Harris nominate Gavin Newsome and then Biden will resign

I think rather that Biden will publicly claim he's running again right up to where he can't avoid becoming a lame duck, while privately acknowledging to insiders that he won't, and then he will declare he isn't and stand aside for others to vie for the spot. While he was exactly what we needed at this point, he's too old to run again and I'm sure recognizes that. He's a decent human being and a real patriot. I think he will do what's in the best interests of the United States as he has always tried to do. He's been doing a great job of recovering, preserving, and progressing the United States in the face of those supporting domestic terrorism and sedition and with enough power to limit what he can get done for the citizens of the United States.

President Biden is leaning towards running in 2024 imho.

From what I have seen, he seems to be relishing the duties, challenges and responsibilities of the office.

It has reinvigorated him.

And these mid-terms certainly gave him an added boost.

Also: Regardless of which toxic candidate GOP voters put forward, Trump or DeSantis, President Biden will remain the perfect person to contrast the difference between what the two parties stand for / offer in governance.

And barring some precipitous drop off in his health or effectiveness, he is still my first choice in 2024.

No, sorry, he is visibly winding down. I can't see him being physically able to maintain his current level of activity in two years. It's time for both parties to be pulling younger people into the spotlight.

I wondered from the beginning if he would 'retire for medical reasons' with about 6-8 months left so Kam could be elevated.

I actually think this will happen. I also think she'll have primary challengers. I didn't originally believe that but have recently changed my mind.

Overall, I think 2024 is gonna be a shit show of candidates and factions vying for attention.

I can't wait for the first republican to run on the "I'm not Trump!" platform.

But either way, it would be a historical first in two ways whether she gets elected or not. And I think they both (as well as others) feel that would be significant enough to do it.

In a situation like that, it would have to be an unambiguously genuine medical reason. What you're implying here is a scheme to get around Harris having to win the nomination in primaries, which would create a pretty serious backlash in my opinion.

I don't see him "winding down", but rather taking a well deserved break after accomplishing nearly ever goal within his power to achieve.

It's time for him to sit back and reconstitute after perhaps the most challenging and productive first two years of any President in American history.

Let the Republican contenders savage each other, exposing their authoritarian tendencies for the next year and a half plus, while President Biden gains political strength from the benefits of the bills he helped pass AND the ones republicans are blocking.

If President Biden does announce he's running in 2024, I will be furious if any Democrats (or Bernie) primary him.

Are you watching his speeches daily? Really? He's physically winding down. I'm not going to pretend about that and I can fully understand why he would.

This can get like those who pushed for Justice Bader Ginsburg to give it more than her all beyond the end. It's not his job to kill himself in office for the rest of us.

Hogan or Cheney.
Why not both of them together? Solid ticket!

Republicans that have actual core values and will stand up to those who don’t. It’s more than DJT with a boatload of issues, most who jumped ship are just unhappy he lost them all those seats that should have super easy. They will come back around to crazy soon enough. Just gotta wait for tomorrow night.

I felt I addressed President Biden exhibiting perfectly understandable fatigue considering the exceedingly hectic and stressful past two years. I'll reserve judgement until I see how he presents in future public appearances. Right now I am basing my views of President Bide's capability and fitness for office on results.

The Biden - Ginsburg analogy is confusing.

Joe Biden will be 80 years old in a week. Pressure-related fatigue at 80 isn't anything like it would be at 50. I'm guessing you must not be very old. I'm old enough to know what someone 80 or who is dying from pancreatic cancer as Bader Ginsburg was has to put out even to get out of bed in the morning, let alone have to do what a president or SC justice has to do.

My guess is that however willing Biden will be to go again, his wife will put the brakes on it.

Fuck Joe Biden. He's a piece of corporate bought shit. Americans needlessly die by the tens of thousands every fucking year and instead of solving the problem, this piece of corporate bought shit actively opposes the solution. Fuck him! Seriously, fuck this selfish, greedy, asshole! No other citizens of any other nation in the civilized world suffers this kind of gross corruption or incompetence that kills 68,000 of it's own citizens every year.

“Joe Biden just told @Lawrence that as president he would veto Medicare for All if it passed both houses and came to his desk.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden, who supports the Affordable Care Act, has criticized the single-payer Medicare for All system favored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., citing costs as well as other factors.

Medicare for All Would Save $450 Billion Annually While Preventing 68,000 Deaths, New Study Shows

The analysis, conducted by researchers at Yale University, the University of Florida and the University of Maryland, found that transitioning the U.S. to a single-payer health care system would actually save an estimated $450 billion each year, with the average American family seeing about $2,400 in annual savings. The research, which was published Saturday in the medical journal The Lancet, also found that Medicare for all would prevent about 68,000 unnecessary deaths per year.

That Joe Biden, without paying a bit of attention to foaming at the mouth as you have just done, can cause you Trumpers to foam at the mouth is one reason I admire him. :)

I know you don't give a shit about 68,000 Americans that die needlessly every year. You got your health care right? Fuck those other people. You just like shaking your poms poms for team blue. You really don't care about the issues. You just like drama of the horse race. Grandma has to cut her pills in half? Fuck that bitch. I'm for team blue. Grandpa commits suicide because he doesn't want to bankrupt his children with medical bills? Fuck that old man. Young man gets kicked off his parent's insurance so he rations his insulin and dies? I don't care, I got mine.

Alec Smith died alone in his room at age 26 because he couldn’t afford life-saving insulin.

Speaker Pelosi is 82 and still gets results. And she is herding a pack of feral cats. Remember when people were saying she was done???

President Biden is also getting results.

If it ain't broke........

And it ain't broke.

IMHO

(And I'm pushing 60)

Biden: I Tried to ‘Prostitute Myself’ to Big Donors During First Senate Run

Former Vice President Joe Biden said during a 1974 discussion on campaign finance that he tried to "prostitute" himself to big donors during his first run for U.S. Senate but failed to get their money because he was too young.
