Jake Sullivan promoted the fake Trump Alfa Bank story that the phont Russian Collusion hoax was based on. He can't be trusted to inform the American people:

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan revealed by Durham probe to have promoted Alfa Bank story
Following Special Counsel John Durham's indictment of Clinton-connected attorney Michael Sussmann, national security advisor Jake Sullivan was named in connection with Sussman's indictment.

Washington DC

According to the Washington Examiner, the Durham indictment of Sussman states that "on or about September 15, 2016, Campaign Lawyer-1 exchanged emails with the Clinton Campaign's campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor concerning the Russian Bank-1 allegations that SUSSMANN had recently shared with Reporter-1."

Durham wrote that "Campaign Lawyer-1 billed his time for this correspondence" to the Clinton campaign, with the billing entry of "email correspondence with [name of foreign policy advisor], [name of campaign manager], [name of communications director] re: [Russian Bank-1] Article."

Sullivan was Clinton's foreign policy advisor, according to the Washington Examiner. Her campaign manager was Robby Mook, and communications director was Jennifer Palmieri. Marc Elias was "Campaign Lawyer-1."

Sullivan has reportedly not been accused of any wrongdoing by Durham.
Back on Halloween of 2016, around a week before the presidential election, Clinton tweeted: "Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank." She shared a lengthy statement from Sullivan at that time.

"This could be the most direct link yet between Donald Trump and Moscow," Sullivan claimed. "Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank. This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump's ties to Russia. ... This line of communication may help explain Trump's bizarre adoration of Vladimir Putin."

Based on that article, the Alfa Bank story was not fake.

There is definitely a place called Alfa Bank. Trump's association with it was precisely zero....a server in, IIRC, Pennsylvania, that belonged to a marketing outfit, was spamming recipients with information on hotels, among them Trumps.

I know, scary stuff.

Based on that article, the Alfa Bank story was not fake.

The Alfa Bank "story" fraudulently involved an "invented" conspiracy between that bank and Donald Trump, a narrative that has been proven to be completely false and a fabrication of the Hillary Clinton Campaign.

Who said the Left doesn't have faith?

I don't know where Phucked up Phil get's the notion that I'm a "birther." I don't recall ever making a statement that could possibly identify me as a "birther." Well, I guess an unprincipled leftist could just invent the narrative like they do all of their others.:D

Pretty much the same place RWs get the idea that everybody to the left of Pat Buchanan is a Communist.

Haven't read Pat in a couple of years now. Is still around? I've read where the left never forgave Buchanan for humiliating them during the Watergate Hearings and has been a pariah in the media ever since.

Still around, still running The American Conservative magazine, still the main standard bearer for paleoconservatism. Notable for his maverick opposition to the Iraq War during the W years -- he's an isolationist in all respects.

As for Watergate:

Buchanan remained as a special assistant to Nixon through the final days of the Watergate scandal. He was not accused of wrongdoing, though some mistakenly suspected him of being Deep Throat. In 2005 when the actual identity of the press leak was revealed as Federal Bureau of Investigation Associate Director Mark Felt, Buchanan called him "sneaky," "dishonest" and "criminal."[17] Because of his role in the Nixon campaign's "attack group," Buchanan appeared before the Senate Watergate Committee on September 26, 1973. He told the panel: "The mandate that the American people gave to this president and his administration cannot, and will not, be frustrated or repealed or overthrown as a consequence of the incumbent tragedy".[16]

Which humiliated nobody but himself.

He also played a notable role in the dissolution of the Reform Party in 2000.
