President Joe Biden, contrary to expectations, said something consequential in his first address to members of Congress…by mistake.

It was a whopper that went unnoticed on Wednesday night; with just a few ill-chosen words Biden utterly toppled any justification for the Green New Deal, which plays a central role in his $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan and which, without a doubt, puts our economy at risk.

This is what he said, according to a New York Times transcript of the president’s remarks: "The United States accounts, as all of you know, for less than 15 percent of carbon emissions. The rest of the world accounts for 85 percent. That’s why I kept my commitment to rejoin the Paris Accord, because if we do everything perfectly, it’s not going to matter."

That was not in the version of the speech the White House handed out ahead of time.

Every time Biden opens his mouth it's usually followed up by explanations or edits of what he meant to say, not what he said. Him talking to other world leaders has to be received with several faces palms

I'm wondering what the whopper is. What is stated in Biden's release is exactly correct, and, as he pointed out, underscores how important it is to rejoin the Paris Accord, AND to follow through on addressing climate change at home.

This is a global issue and it'll take real global leadership to address it. Of course, Trump took the isolationist path (because it's perfectly within his character to be selfish) and chose to abandon any sense of global leadership for the US, so I guess that's where you guys are crowing from.

The US has cut it's carbon emissions more than any other nation. (Source) WHY THE FUCK are we joining with THEM instead of them joining with US when we're the ones getting it done?

Answer: Because those other nations need your taxpayer dollars more than you do. Or so the Left wants you to believe.

Read the article, it flat out tells you that the Paris Accords won't do hardly anything to change Global Warming in the next 100 years. All the Left's plan will do is send your hard earned money overseas to perpetuate the ongoing rape of the US Taxpayer.

And you fell for it because it's been packaged in a soft and cuddly and soothing lie.
