Every intelligent Democrat looks backs in regret at Obama and the Democratic Congress’ decision not to go big to put people back to work. “The Obama stimulus was too small and too subtle,” Derek Thompson writes in The Atlantic. “It was too small because the Republican opposition was intransigent, and the Democratic coalition was uncomfortable with the multitrillion-dollar deficits necessary to close the GDP gap.” Joe Biden faces exactly the same situation.

True, but Biden has the option of not bothering with the Republicans and passing a stimulus that is big enough. Here's hoping he learned that lesson from Obama!

Biden knows the path forward

He has promised that by fall he will have 300 Americans vaccinated. How can you say he has a failed presidency when he sets the bar so high and knows how to reach such a goal?
