I know that there are some stories that are true that no one would believe. I have a few in my life that may be up here one of these days. I was just wondering do you have any stories like that and what makes you think people would not believe you?
I can tell you why no one would believe me.
1. The situation is crazy
2. I was not acting like myself
3. The girl was way out of my league

I dunno if I've had any situations where people wouldn't believe me. Well, that would be most of 'em. Anyway, I don't write about my own sex, so it doesn't matter. My stuff is almost all fiction (the true one isn't erotic).

The first thing that clues me into the fact that a story is probably not the truth are the words "This is a true story."

Sure. Okay.

I have had many amazing adventures in my life. They're not unbelievable, but border-line. People who know me, who know my character, totally believe them. (Hmmm...?)

When it comes to writing erotica, however, I never write aoput myself or my own experiences - I save those for a best-seller! :p

The truth of the matter is...i don't have anything that's happened in my life that anyone wouldn't believe, no wild adventures, no wild sex, no nothing...i don't write from experience, but my own fantasies and desires and needs and wants...and the response i get is, 'i can't believe that...'

Go figure!

I like to say: "All my stories are true;
none of them is factual."

If I tell you that I once sat on top of an atomic bomb beating the crap out of it's connectors with a hide faced hammer because it was jammed would you believe me? I didn't think so, but I don't tell lies.

I have sex day after day each and every day but it is all very ordinary sex really.

Odd stories are not easy for me to write about as a result.

But in my opinion, a good story is one where I can say "hmmm it might have been me".

So in my opinion, it is not automatically benefitial to go to far from the real world always.

i let my imagination wander because generally reality just never matches up to what my imagination can do.

i doubt many people would believe a tenth of the situations i've managed to get myself into.

rofl aint real life experiences such fun?

Heck, I'd believe you. After all, Slim Pickins did dang near the same thing in "Dr. Strangelove."

Would getting a blow-job from an Army nurse on the stairs leading down to a hospital's morgue count?

What is your story?

So if people have those happenings that are so false they are true what are yours?

Mine is as follows. Keep in mind I am shy and don't consider myself to be good looking.

I'm sitting in the back of this van with a girl next to me. The van is one of those huge travel ones that can hold like 12 people, you know the kind. Well me and this girl have been flirting for like the last two months and the same with the girl in the seat infront of us. To make matters even more interesting both girls know my gf at the time and the guy in the front seat is completely head over heels for this chick. To make a long story short I decided to show her why people like my hands so much and started rubbing her crotch all the way back to the hotel.

Not the wildest thing in the world but it was pretty daring for me.

Thought this was an interesting thread *smiles*

For my part though, I find the best fiction comes from a basis in reality. Not everything needs to be "true" but a lot comes from real life experiences. I find this a good way to allow the reader to really believe the "story" could be "real".

I think everyone has certain habits to their life--the kind of things that they generally do that make up their basic character. But the thing is, I think people forget how close we are to being different from what we present. Things like inhibition can hold us back, but sometimes, just barely.

Just think about this classic situation:
"The other day I'm driving on the road in the middle of the night, and there's a fog. And I'm driving on this winding road and I realize that with a flick of my wrist, I could be dead. Everything would be gone, and it could be so peaceful...it was a sublime moment. Later, I stopped to get a cup of coffee and the feeling passed..."

I think almost everyone has moments like this. Moments when you realize that you could kill yourself, moments when you realize that you could commit a heinous crime, or even moments when you just have a sudden impulse to run naked through the streets. But we almost never do it. Common sense takes a hold of us, our inhibitions stop these wild impulses from taking form. Other people look at us and they seem totally oblivious. They seem to see us as static creatures, predictable and perhaps even a little dull.

We forget that we are all just one step away--a momentary impulse could just slip by--a tiny wavering of attention and our automobiles are suddenly crashing into a concrete median, or we suddenly find a bloody knife in our hands and a body at our feet, or we find that we've foolishly purchased that BMW with money that should have gone into our Roth IRA.

But somehow--even though these moments are only a stone's throw away--those other people just laugh at these profound moments. The accident didn't happen. We are law-abiding citizens. Sensible. Practical. To them, we are the same people we've always been, and to be anything else would to be truly beyond belief.

Life is much wilder than fiction for sure.

Some of the stories I write are based on my experiences and some on girlfriends experiences. But all are pretty much based on something that happened. (Well Kimberly goes vamp is based on a Goth girlfriends story idea not my experience.) The stories are not word for word but if the people in my stories read them they recognize themselves. ...And yes I'm glad some of the girls I've had certian experiences with will never read Literotica and find out I wrote about them. I have changed enough so they can't sue me but....

I have had people not believe my lifestyle at first and then after they know me for a while learn I seldom have a dull moment in my life. ...and as a hotel courtesy person I'm getting lots of new material every day!! hehehe Which reminds me I have to go make some rounds and find out what guys room Traci is in tonight! I can tell because she moans real loud after she has has a few beers and she has a few beers most every night. hehehe
