Better Drama: KRC or KK

We talk about board drama as if it's what makes this place interesting, but it's pretty uncomfortable while it's happening.

I joined just before the KRC thing went down. I hadn't really started posting then, but dud read pink's thread. I didn't know anyone then, so it all didn't mean much to me then. Now, I suspect it would.

I'm sure it was pretty uncomfortable. Anything that polarizes the board to that extent would.

I think unless you knew or observed the characters in real time, anything before one's time is kind of uninteresting.

At some point it's not even the characters and what they said that are interesting, it's the bizarre stories. Some guy solicited an actress' services to convince a message board that he was a young woman...for years?

Some people shared a troll ID to post their "friend's" secrets on the board, and ultimately turned on each other?

Ass cancer is a real thing?

Quit being coy. You KNOW this to be true.

A woman(?) had a vanity pictures thread for years, and one day the real woman in the pictures shows up.

A woman announces, at Christmas time, that she has stopped taking her meds and will not live through the night. Some people freak out and try to make contacts with her, while disbelievers mock her. It turns out to be an attention seeking stunt. Some time later, she actually dies. No one much cares.

A black man posts a number of photos of himself having sex with white women. A congenital idiot gets upsetting tracks the origin of the pictures to the the server at the man's job. The man loses his employment and hilarity ensues.

Its a very sad day that I know of these things without even thinking hard.

Fear not, there are at least two other dramas that should boil over this year.

I am hoping it will be LTR that dumps seanh for one of her 43 other online Doms, but who knows... It could go the other way.

And while i don't think chipbutt will ever move to the USA, if she does, the time she spends in the swamp with harry should be full of hillbilly escapades.

Someone once said that the Karen Kraft saga was like a 7 year overwrought Telenovela. I can't say I disagree.

Twas hard to keep track of the ever-evolving storylines, such as the "medical miracle" twin sister that succumbed to breast cancer at age 18. (As I've pointed out numerous times, a prepubescent girl with breast cancer is such a statistical anomaly that the American Cancer Association doesn't even track such cases (something like a 500 million to one chance)).

Oh, its definitely worth a read.

The place used to be Packed with nutbars like her.

(I still think she blew lobito in the washroom.)

It probably should be required reading, at least once. But if you just want a good summary ...

Honestly, while most Lit drama's vary in their characters and settings, they all have a common theme. An emotional conflict and a seedy plot. It's always "her word against his" (for lack of a better phrase) and a whole lot of opinions from people who were neither involved nor present.

What ever happened to factual, short and sweet? These long 20+ page drama's are exhausting to read and frustrating because you never really get to the bottom of them.

Thanks for the summary, Pookster!

I figure that most folk have enough drama IRL.
