best tv music show in your parts

i love watching "later with jools holland"


he gets some fantastic guests on his shows and never compromises i think hes one of the few true music shows that is still true


i wonder if many international posters have heard of him or indeed his show

I've heard of that person, but I'm hard pressed to name someone here in the U.S.

his music show is unique ... i think because its a bbc programme they never sell out to try and gain a bigger audience because they are paid for by tv license (you wouldn't see britney spears on his programme )

and he always has a unknown world music style band on


he just did an amazing thing with beverly knight they were doing a miny interview sitting at a piano and he says what was the first song you ever heard and she just starts to sing this beautiful semi gospel style song and he plays on the piano (completely spur of the moment thing) ... he replys not often when you ask someone there first song they heard they sing it back to you

lol no problem ... we had a heavy few days actually ... we both were off work today because from the moment lisa arrived home on thursday (i think i lost track of days) we were um *cough* ... so both didnt get up today till 2pm today lol

Our new family tradition is to watch the 'Hootenany' on new year's eve and just sit back and enjoy the music and wine...
