This started out as something I did with my kids when they got to the age where every question is answered with one word. Me: How was school? Him: Good. Me: Did you learn anything interesting? Him: No.
And so on... so one night I asked a question that couldn't be answered with only one word and it's become a tradition at our dinner table. I say "best thing/worst thing" and everyone goes around and says the best thing that happened to them that day, and the worst thing. I'll start.
B - I made the most delicious soup EVER today for the first time.
W - My son came for dinner, had a fight with his dad (again) and left after only about 1/2 hour. This was the first time I'd seen him in a week.

OK - go... let's see if I can get more than four posts before this thing goes down in flames.

B - I got up early and had a nice time alone with coffee and my book
W - Had to work for several hours today.. only to discover that the project has a lot more to it than originally thought

B: visiting with my new niece

W: Waking up early when I didn't have to... darn internal clock

B: had an absolutely adorable dog come into my work today.

W: drove home in a severe thunderstorm with the start of flooded roads.

B: Talked the night away, had the sunlight stream in before I even realized that the night over over.

W: didn't get any sleep on the last night before a long long week. Also, it's Monday!

B: getting to take pictures with characters at Disney World

W: being overly tired and pissed off at the world

Fresh corn on the cob, and strawberry shortcake with whipped cream

B - laughs and fun with family this morning

W - watching three of them go away on trips this afternoon; the empty house feeling is hard for me.

B: my team won! yay!

W: someone quit at work today and now I have to do that sucky job as well as my own.

but my team won, so that is outweighing the work suckiness, even though I'll have to deal with it for the foreseeable future now. :D it's all good!
