Mike stood on the porch of his neighbors house. Tapping his leg he contemplated knocking on the door. Gossip from the neighborhood was abuzz with rumors of his neighbors arguing leading to divorce. As a friend and neighbor he was torn between minding his business or trying to help. As he sighed he ran his fingers through his hair. Before knocking on the door.

Madison hear the knock at the door unsure about who it was as she held the wailing one year old in her arms She was frantic looking for any way to calm Hayden down and she bounced him in her arms throwing on a robe and answering the door

She had expected it to be her ex-husband but to her surprise it was some man she had never seen. She continued rocking her baby girl and looked at the man " Umm hello can I help you?" She said glad Hayden had stopped crying but was fussing in her arms.

"Hey Madison it's me your neighbor Mike. I live a couple houses down." he replies as she opens the door. He gets a look inside to see the house a little messy. "Haven't seen you two walking down the block in a couple of days. Just wanted to see if everything's ok." he makes contact with her eyes as she begins to step outside.

Madison sighed not thinking about their daily walks. She and her husband had spilt a few days ago after she had found out he was sleeping with one of his students. She ran her fingers through her hair holding back tears . "John and I aren't together anymore but..thanks for your concern "she said looking at him

She put her wiggling baby down to crawl and figured John must have sent him and folded her arms."Did John send you here?"

Mike steps back as her tone changed. "No I haven't talked to him for a couple of weeks. I'm sorry to hear bout this." he replies. Keeping mum bout the gossip he reaches for his wallet and pulls a card out. "I just want to help. I'm a therapist. I can offer an ear to vent your problems to." he stammer as he hands over the card. He tries his best not to gaze at her in her robe, he lets his eyes slip and catches her in her yoga pants. "No trouble just want to be of help."

Madison looked at him for a moment wondering if the man was serious about this and she took the card slowly staring at it then putting it into her pocket. He must have recommended by one of the the neighbors after her and Johns huge fight where she tossed most of his things onto the lawn and neatly packaged the rest sending it to his brothers house where he was currently.

"Thank you mike"she said to him and gave a small smile realizing he was serious. She noticed the baby fussing and the slight mess in the house and blushed "I should umm..I would invite you in but it is a bit of a mess.

Mike smile grew as she became flustered. "It's ok I just wanted to offer my services. But like I said when you feel like venting I have a couch, just give me a call and I will open the door for you." he says confidently. His heart beats a little faster as she contemplates his offer. "So I'm going to head out and hope you take me up on this." he says as he leaves the porch to walk home. Looking back he sees her tuning back to go inside hoping to get the phone call.

Madison closed the door behind him sitting on the floor and chuckled running her fingers through her hair and shook her head. Maybe talking to someone about how she was feeling would be good for her.

She had been admittedly sad and emotional the past few days but hasn't let her daughter know it and she was upset that John hadn't even made the effort to come see their baby.

She put Hayden down to sleep for the night and she fell asleep deciding to go see Mike after she dropped Hayden to her mothers place so she could work.

Mike spent the night thinking about Madison's plight. Looking over old cases he thought about how to handle what she was going through and to help her get through it. As he read a thought of her and John running with Hayden in her carriage. The thought of her in her jogging gear causes his heart to beat faster and caused him to be a little aroused. He quickly snapped out of his thought knowing she was now his patient. He closed his office and heads off to bed.

The next morning he delt with two of his patients before reciving a phone call. "Hello Dr Davis."

Madison had sat in her car for a bit nervous about seeing Mike to talk. She knew that he was one of her neighbors and she didn't want her business out there for it to be gossip.She finally got the courage to call him and said "Hello Dr Davis.. I was just umm wondering if you were serious about talking with me and helping me out " she said trying not to feel embarrassed for herself.

She of course was paying for the session but she had to wonder if Mike would tell any of this to John because he was friendly with him" I can see you today...if your free?"

Mike looked at his calamder to see nothing planned. "I'm free for the rest of the day. Just stop by I will leave my door open. I will be in my office in the back." he replies as he goes through more of his cases.

Madison was a bit nervous but also relieved." I'll be there in 10 minutes Mike" she said letting him know and driving to his office. She had on her yoga shorts,sports bra,sneakers and a hoodie.

She planned on teaching a class after her session and she headed there and she got there shortly after parking. She saw that his secretary might have stepped out and she walked straight back to his office " Doctor Davis?" She said stepping into his office.

"Hey Madison it's good to see you again. Please take a seat on the couch I will be with you on a sec." he says as he points towards the couch in his room. He shuffled paperwork and walks over to his chair. He slides over the paperwork and pulls a pen out of his pocket. "Now this is a formal contract stating that all info given in our sessions is confidential and may not be discussed with anybody with out your permission. Signing here will state that you understand. These terms."

Madison walked in seeing he was doing some paperwork then he handed her a doctor patient confidentiality agreement contract. She of course read it over thoroughly and she signed it and handed it back to him happy for some sort of security for herself.

She leaned back against the couch waiting for their session to start.

"Now with that out of the way let me go over how I like to do things." Mike exclaims as he sits in his arm chair note pad in hand. "Today is your day. Anything you want to get off your mind, quirks, anger or the like can be vented right here and I won't try to stop you. I want you to let go of any issue that is causing you pain or anguish and spill it on the floor without the feeling of me butting in. Then if these sessions continue is when I will give input and with a little luck we can solve what bothers you together. So now you have the floor. Say what on your mind and don't hold anything back." he has seen much success in this method of allowing his patients to get it all out in the early session and then taking the pieces and finding what bothers them most. He begins to scribble on his pad as he waits for Madison to let it rip.

Madison sat back sighing not knowing where to begin. I-I'm here because I just.. I don't have anyone to talk to about this.. My husband he had been having an affair with one of my private students and it's been going on for quite a while. I umm I caught them in the shed in our backyard a few weeks ago and.. I'm..I'm just a hurt"she said tearing up

" And I'm just so embarrassed by it I barely leave my place either than to go to the store for formula for Hayden or get something eat. I have been taking care my body but I have barely been eating or sleeping much. I have been just really overwhelmed taking care of Hayden alone and working to take care of her alone has been a lot.

I'm also hurt John hasn't called once. He hasn't asked how Hayden has been or come to see her at all and I think that's why she's been crying like that at times and it pisses me off." She said shaking slightly from the emotions and looking away as some tears began to fall.

Mike writes as Madison begins to show her emotions. Allowing herself to be free in this session. "That's good Madison let all the fustration out." he encourages her. He gets up to get a box of tissues for her to wipe her tears. "Letting it out will feel better then holding this pain in."

"His family thinks that it's me..except for his cousin. One of them even suggested that Hayden wasn't his. I of course told them off quite politely but the point is that they should not take their frustration with me kicking John out and aim it towards Hayden.

She is the only thing keeping me happy right now and level and I thank god every day for my little angel "she sniffled smiling softly. He refused to sign the papers... He wanted to "work on us" but honestly there wasn't an us anymore it was just me alone.. He helped take care of Hayden less and less and he hardly touched me since I've had her. A year and all we've had was basic sex.

I didn't even enjoy it like my body knew something was wrong. Thankfully he used condoms which I thought was strange too but I guess he didn't want me pregnant again. I should have known the signs of him cheating..I just feel so stupid

I don't know maybe it's me?Maybe there's something wrong with me "she sobbed wiping her tears feeling so much better.

Mike absorbed all the info and continued to take his notes. He notice a sense of relief as her anger towards the situation boiled out of her. "This is good Madison." he says comforting as she dries her eyes. "You should never be made to feel that way." he allows her a moment to recover before he asks a question. "Why does your cousin side with you?"

Madison chuckled at the question calming down a bit and wiping her eyes " His cousin sides with me because he knows just how much of a dog John was and he knows what kind of woman I am.

I did everything I could to make him happy with our marriage I tried my best being the perfect wife to him but I guess even that wasn't enough huh?"she sniffled "John was batshit crazy sometimes especially when he drank. He never put his hands on me or anything but he'd say some fucked up things that id continuously brushed off and his cousin witnessed it a few times and they got into a fist fight and John used nearly about everything he could say to hurt me and thought I was sleeping with his cousin.

The family thinks Hayden is his which we know is completely false. I was devoted to John and would rather please myself than sleep with someone else."

Mike continues to write as she conveys her story. He could even remember walking by as some of the fights happened between the two. As she talked the thought creeper in his mind about her in her sexy jogging outfit. He shakes his to forget it. "Well that was cathartic isn't it." he inquires as she dries her eye.

Madison nodded admitting it was"Thank you Mike that was relaxing and good to get some of that off of my chest"she said sighing and running her fingers through her hair.

She reached over grabbing his hand "Thank you for this it means alot.. and since you helped me maybe I can help you out. You can come to one of my yoga sessions free of charge I noticed some tension in your shoulders and I have some positions that would be great for that"she said giving him her card.

"I should umm get going and wash my face off "she said "I have a class to teach downtown at noon"

Mike's blood warmed up as she reached her hand to his. He let the moment go as she offered her class as payment. "You don't have to pay me for this one. But I will take you up on it as long as you come to me when you need to vent or looking for advice. I don't want to see you self destruct over this." he then pulls his hand from her and proceeds to walk her to the door. "My door is always open to you Madison. Don't forget that."

Madison smiled and kissed his cheek." Your really amazing you know that?@ she said " I promise I will come see you when I'm feeling like this and I hope you come visit me sometime i enjoy your company Mike" she said before walking out the door and to her car.

She smirked liking that Mike was such a generous guy and he was quite attractive as well. She knew that he was just helping her but she wondered if he was seeing anyone.

He watched her walk out of his house. Once again he could not help stating at her ads and legs as she headed to the car. He closed the door and felt his cheek. An innocent kiss wouldn't hurt as long as he knew it was her being thankful and not affectionate. He then turned back to his office and got ready for another patient.

At night he woke up from a weird dream. He dreamt about taking her up on the offer of yoga. And as the session begain it was innocent enough but as they stretch her poses became more suductive then stretching. He took a few minutes to calm himself and focus on being her therapist before falling back asleep.
