When you write, do you find yourself nibbling, splurping, munching, chewing, sucking, licking or just plain eating and drinking?

If so, what is your favourite comfort food? Do you find you are happier in your writing, with your favourite snack close by?

compulsive nibbler.
Crisps, crisps, crisps.
Sometimes chocolate.
Always tea.

(Remember........'weeble')

Coffee, by the pot. Dosen't matter if I need to stay awake or not, I have to have it to feel at home.

Amen, sister.

That's what I voted, but as far as the munchies are concerned - barbeque potato chips rule. :D

Definitely chocolate. Keeps the creative juices flowing and helps me keep a level head.

I must have hot sips of coffee to write, and even more so to edit. Nothing so satisfying as tweaking a new masterpiece while the rich aroma tickles my senses.

Hmmm, tea and chocolate for me. But, I do try to watch what I eat, so I get up and run up and down the stairs for a couple of minutes, every half an hour. :D

The run with the dog in the morning helps, too. But, I still try to limit the amount of junk I eat. So damn tempting, though, isn't it?

Actually when I am writing I don't actually eat or drink much at all. When I'm just online then it's juice (apple usually) and whatever nibbles i have around, often chocolate or rice crackers (i prefer'em to crisps more often than not)

When i'm writing I just write. I do break off regularly just to surf and then I eat and drink:)

I can't believe tea and coffee lead beer. What is wrong with you people???

Waah. I want a beer. :(

A big bag of apples. It's for the activity more than anything. I get up, growl in frustration at not being able to find the words, go and get an apple, sit down and eat it whilst glowering at my story. then I type maybe another 3 sentences before I get, growl in frustration....

I can (literally) go through 6lb in a day.

I was so proud of not mentioning that. I should've known that someone here would. :D

Shit! I had read your signature, days ago I think, and laughed my fool head off. I guess I don't read them again and I know my memory is shot.

That's twice now I've done this to you, isn't it?

Forgive me?

Beer...

I've been working on a story that'll probably be dead on arrival, given it's about, or I should say set in, the future after the world has been overrun by zombies (can a good story come out of that?). I've noticed that I write it better while sitting at the bar and drinking a few drafts. The girls who tend bar when I'm there, have made a habit of asking what chapter I'm on...

Much to the dismay of my teeth, and to the professional dismay, but financial delight of my dentist, I have a sugar addiction. If I'm to do anything productive, I need candy. Preferrably liquorice caramels of the kind that burns a hole in the roof of your mouth.

Beer, Coffee and

whisper it quietly - cigarettes. I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms. Both computers are currently in non-smoking areas.

Liquorice caramels?!? I've never heard of such. Personally, I've no love of liquorice, but my father does and he is the devil to try to shop for. Tell me, Liar, if I send you some of your much sought after Cadbury eggs, might you ship some liquorice caramels my way? :D

Deal. :D

It always baffles me everytime I go abroad that the liquorice offering is so poor. It's a very Scandinavian thing apprently. It's everywhere here. In all kinds of shapes sizes and varieries.

You may regret it once you try the eggs, but that's another thread altogether. :D

I never would have guessed liquorice to be a Scandinavian thing, but then again I don't think I've ever given it much thought either way.
